7 Spices Balti - Sheffield
Mayfair Court, Flat 106, Sheffield, South Yorkshire S3 8PP

The waiters were friendly without being pushy, and the prices were pretty standard. Nice atmosphere in the restaurant too - busy but not too busy, got served quickly and efficiently, and everything seemed very clean (including the toilets, which were spotless).
Really enjoyed the meal so much - we'll definitely be back again soon.

The Greedy Greek Deli - Sheffield
418-420 Sharrow Vale Rd, Sheffield, South Yorkshire S11 8ZP
30-04-2012
The Greedy Greek promises 25 years of experience in producing authentic
Greek food. However, this was some of the worst food that I have had the
misfortune to pay for. First of all, there is nothing remotely Greek
about any of the food. Over 4 pounds for Greek salad. This salad
consisted of cheap cold tasteless tomatoes, wilted lettuce, no dressing
or oil, a little randomly sprinkled oregano and three small pieces of
cheap feta (tasted like the German stuff sold in tins). For some reason,
this was served on a plate not in a bowl, with no cucumber or bread.
Worst of all, it had massive chunks of harsh white (not red) onion that
(if eaten) had the effect of anesthetizing your taste buds – not a bad
thing considering the main courses. The ‘traditional’ pork gyros –
unidentifiable pieces of shredded meat (I don’t think it came of a spit,
but scraped out of a tub seeing it was served cold in 30 secs), covered
in some horrible slime that tasted like it copious amounts of Chinese 5
spice added. This was in a decent pitta (best part of the meal), with
some odd pink sauce (taramasalata?) unfortunately blended into watery
tazatziki, making something that looked like the whole thing had been
wrapped up and kicked around the kitchen, before being scraped up of the
floor and served to us. The staff were grumpy and forgot our drinks.
Obviously the owners understand Greek food and have decided that people
in Sheffield will eat any old c**p served to them. I have spent a lot of
time in Athens and a Greek would not even serve this to a dog.
po po po ti krima.
