E J Cassells & Son - Ballymoney

43 Main Street, Ballymoney, Northern Ireland BT53 6AN

24-06-2012 (updated on 18-01-2013)

I used to love this shop when i was a kid, it was one of only two toy shops in Ballymoney. However things change and as an adult i find Cassells to be a place i would not visit. Its really quite unfriendly, in fact i found the staff a tad cold! And the cold nature of the staff compliment the fridge like coldness of the shop perfectly! Perhaps the heating has been switched on now but i remember it as a place where you would need a coat and hat to shop in it! I honestly believe businesses that are run like this are bad for the town & give a horrible impression to visitors. A smile & a friendly hello are not a lot to ask!

MILLTOWN SPAR (DD) - Ballymoney

2-4 MILLTOWN ROAD, Ballymoney, Northern Ireland BT53 6LE

18-07-2012

Very handy shop with brilliant facilities, such as several car washing options, vacuuming services & paypoints, cash machine etc etc. It loses a star for the one member of staff however who is dull as dishwater and completely void of the words Hello & Thank you! Get rid of this woman and ill return and give the shop 5 stars.

KFC - Coleraine

66 Hanover Place, Coleraine, Northern Ireland BT52 1EB

I used to love KFC but ever since they halved the size of the fillets and and took some favourites of the menu i have not been back! I also detest the fact that a lot of their outlets on the mainland are now only serving halal chicken (Muslim slaughtered meat). KFC like to give us the impression that they humanely stun the chickens first before they are killed but the fact is these chickens have to be alive & aware. There throats are then cut, without stunning them first,  so the blood can be drained from them. This is a barbaric Muslim tradition in which the animal suffers & is in pain & therefore is left alive for minutes and in agony while the blood drains from its carcass! Just remember that when you next call into a KFC !

carolmad well said jason, general public don,t realise what the poor wee chickens go through.

Jason Dunlop Too right Carol. Ill stick to McDonalds & Subway….

Wilsy's Take Away - Ballymoney

Really like this new chippie, nice friendly service & a good selection. The chicken fillet burgers are particularly good & the gratis portion of chips that come with each burger is a nice touch.

The Shed Factory - Belfast

301 Glen Road, Belfast, Northern Ireland BT11 8BU

Great quality shed at a decent price. The chaps put it up in no time at all and were totally professional from start to finish. Would highly recommend the quality of shedfactory sheds & the excellent communication & delivery. 5 Stars *

The Joey Dunlop Memorial Garden - Ballymoney

Castle Street, Ballymoney, Northern Ireland BT43 6DF

Its a fitting tribute to a great ballymoney man. Its also nice to see the adjacent monument to Joeys brother, fellow motor cycling legend Robert Dunlop. We can be proud of these sporting brothers & the positives they brought to the town of Ballymoney. God Bless
