Jefferson's - Crawley

Haslett Avenue East, Crawley, West Sussex RH10 1UH

21-11-2008

I am not too keen in this place, the reason for this is due ot the fact that it very much lacks the ambiance a restaurant or bar should have. I have eaten here once and although the food was ok, I felt the price was too high for what I was getting. The bar is of an American style and the staff, although friendly, can look a bit bored at times. On a more positive note, a free car park is provided right outside.

KFC - Crawley

96 High Street, Crawley, West Sussex RH10 1BZ

21-11-2008

I love KFC but I have to say, this outlet is very small, there is usually a queue coming out the door during the peak hours and parking is not existent. The location is good though as it is right in the town centre, with this in mind, if you happen to already be in town and parking is not an issue, then paying them a visit is highly recommend it, as long as you like this sort of food that is. The staff are fairly mechanical although, this is expected when they have to process people through as quick as they can.

Dixons - Crawley

23 Queens Square, Crawley, West Sussex RH10 1HA

21-11-2008

This store is very small, however, you might still find what you are looking for, if not, I am sure they can order it for you. Its location is perfect, you could not get it any more central. Being right on the Square, it is sorrounded by Coffee Shops, book sellers, phone shops, banks, toy stores, body shop, even the main County Mall is 1 minute walking distance. As you go into this shop, they usually have a really big screen facing the exit, there are a few other fairly large televisions at the back of the store. They sell ipods, phones, a lot of little electrical gadgets, Ipod accessories such as speakers, etc. I will recommend paying them a visit if you happen to be in town anyway.

harvesters - Crawley

Crawley, West Sussex RH10 1JB

21-11-2008

I love this place with its help yourself salad bar and nice warm bread rolls. There is a free car park provided also. As you into the place, you have the bar ahead of you and the restaurant to the right. They have a good selection of beers and wines, their food menu is also very good. For those of you who like to eat early, they have special promotions called early bird, etc. The restaurant is clean and child friendly, what I mean by this is, they have high chairs for the kids and the staff seem really good with children. The toilets are always clean, I find this an aspect worth mentioning because there is nothing worse than having a nice meal followed by a visit to a dirty smelly toilet. Overall a nice place to go with friends or the familly, not necessarily in that order.

Bar Med - Crawley

100 High Street, Crawley, West Sussex RH10 1BZ

21-11-2008

This place is right by the Town centre and consequently it is easy to get to and get home from there. I think Bar Med is ok for a few drinks but I would not like to be there all night as I would not consider this a good night out. The drinks can be expensive unless you stick to the promotions or special night’s out. Tuesday nights can be good in this place as it is popular with Airport staff, hence, the so called Airport night. I have found the Toilets really smell and this was not too late into the night, this can be a major put off. The music is diverse and the DJ will announce names and dedicate songs, etc, when Birthday parties are taking place.

Squires At Cheals Garden Centre - Crawley

Horsham Road, Crawley, West Sussex RH11 8PL

21-11-2008

I tend to go to this garden centre every summer as I live 5 minutes walking distance from it. They have free ample parking and is easy to get to it if you drive. Within the complex, they have an aquarium also and the people here tend to know all there is to know about fish and anything related. The Garden centre itself is brilliant, it has a nice coffee shop as you walk in just to the left. The products in this garden centre are of high quality and the prices reflect this. As far as Garden centres go, this is not one of the biggest I have seen and with this in mind, you might not always find what you looking for. The staff is friendly and the products are well displayed. Worth a visit

Carpetright - Crawley

London Road, Crawley, West Sussex RH10 8JD

21-11-2008

The range is carpets in this store is wide, they also do laminate floor. A car park is provided just outside the store and this is free. The store is quiet big and well iluminated. Last time I purchased a carpet from here, I was able to haggle and ended up getting a good deal. Beware, the staff are highly trained and will try and persuade you into buying even though you might not bee looking to commit just yet.

Ja Ja Bar - Crawley

26 High Street, Crawley, West Sussex RH10 1BQ

21-11-2008

This bar is modern and hip hop happening. Is one of the popular ones within the Crawley area. Inside, they have big plasma screens and the music is always up to date. I personally think, it can get a little bit too overcrowded as the bar itself is not really that big. I also find their prices too expensive, on a more positive note, Troys kebabs is kind of opposite the bar so not to far to walk after a heavy night out before getting the usual kebab

McDonald's (Sainsburys) - Crawley

Crawley Avenue, Crawley, West Sussex RH10 8NF

21-11-2008

I like this McDonalds’s as it has a drive through. Parking is ample and free, you can also kill two birds with one stone as you have Sainsbury right a few metres away. The actual restaurant is always clean and and the staff seem friendly enough. Sometimes you can get some deals as often they send out vouchers where you can buy 2 burges for the price of one. I am not too king in their chips but their Big Mac is great. The restaurant location is great for those driving, not too far from the Town centre either.

Thorntons - Crawley

11a County Mall, Crawley, West Sussex RH10 1FF

21-11-2008

I have a really sweet tooth and this place has got to be the best when it comes to quality chocolates. I have purchased boxes of Thornton chocolates from in many special occasions. They sometimes have offers as well making it even more tempting to buy more than you actually need. The location of this shop is perfect, being inside the Shopping Mall, access is not an issue. A pay Car Park is provided within the Mall and buses as well as trains stop right within the perimeter of the Mall. The staff in this shop is always really friendly and come accross as really happy, mind you, with all them chocolates around, I think I would be the same.
