Good Chinese food, served as take away, delivery and eat in at the restaurant. This is our regular Chinese delivery service and we are generally very impressed with the food. Occasionally disappointing when they are busy, but usually prompt and delicious.

Pizza Express is a reliable Italian chain selling decent pizzas and pastas and the Dulwich Village branch is a nice location in the centre of the Village. It does seem to be THE place for local parents to take their children, which may put some people off, but generally is a very welcoming atmosphere.

Eltham Palace is a fascinating historical site, tucked away in South East London. The buildings comprise a medieval great hall (Henry VIII’s spent part of his childhood here), which was restored in the 1920s and an Art Deco party house added to the site. The grounds are also beautiful. We have visited a number of times (I believe they sometimes have concerts etc. in the grounds too) and we got married there in 2006. I can thoroughly recommend it as a wedding venue, especially if you are looking for a London venue with good outside space. All our guests commented on what an amazing venue it was.

Bathroom and kitchen shop with a good range of items in different price bands. Staff are very helpful and happy to spend plenty of time with you. They also have helpful kitchen design software.

Since the Plough was refurbished it has become a very comfortable and relaxing environment. The pub serves a good range of beers and wines and a decent range of food. There is an outside area, which will be good for the summer and there is live music and entertainment on certain nights of the week. It is a great option for the Dulwich Library end of Lordship Lane.

Franklins has a pub at the front and a fantastic restaurant, selling seasonal British food at the back and downstairs. The atmosphere is good. The menu sometimes looks a bit challenging (lots or offal etc.) but everything we have eaten there has been great.

This shop has a fantastic range of cheese from around Britain and Europe. The staff are helpful and happy to provide advice and samples to try. They also sell a range of other deli type products.

Green and Blue is a fantastic independent wine bar / shop on Lordship Lane in East Dulwich. They sell a really interesting selection of wines, generally from less well known, smaller producers, organised by style. All wines are priced for “take away” or to drink in the bar. The staff are very knowledgeable and helpful. There is also a small deli selection and the bar sells a range of tapas style food.

Good Italian food in a stylish setting in East Dulwich. Includes restaurant and cocktail bar. Outside space on the terrace will be great for the summer.

Dulwich Garden Centre has a great range of plants, including flowers, trees, shrubs, fruit and vegetable seedlings. They also sell other items such as tools, seeds, pots and gardening books. The staff are helpful and friendly.
