Popped in for a oub lunch with colleagues. Looked a rather drab pub. Wrong. Food was amazing. Try the mushrooms on toast with deep fried poached egg. Amazing. Baguettes home made. Sliced beef perfect and hand cut potato wedges to due for. And less expensive than going to burger king. Please try this place, they deserve support.

Popped in for a friday treat due to recommendation from a friend. Chose the panner chili, one of their specials, chana dhal, sag aloo and bimbay potatoes with a clutch of nan and rice. What a treat. Superb. Best curry in west penwith by far. Meal for 3 was less than 30 quid and they gave me free poppadums!
Bhagwan Great place to eat in....lovely food....reasonable price..........great service....friendly atmosphere.....everything is Superb...I think this is the best restaurant in Cornwall.....just needs advertisement....

It was generally good, fresh indian food. Avoid the korma, it was hideously sweet. Price was a bit high but it is trying something different to the usual curry house fare.

This place is a disgrace. My dog could make better Italian food. They are also alleged to keep a big chunk of the staff tips. Avoid.

Excellent pasties. However, if you want a steak pie to die for then try Vivian Olds nearby.

This is a gem for curry fans. Garish decor belies a real love and understanding of curry. Avoid the usual standard stuff on the menu and go for the house specials like the Handy and Matoke - they are just simply superb examples of real indian food. The owner is a chef and creates all the special marinades himself (to keep the secret recipes from itinerant chef's). I tasted flavours I never knew existed and my wife decided it was the best indian food she'd ever had. I travelled from Penzance and it was worth every mile.

Excellent food. efficient unfussy service. We had fish dishes and they were all excellent - fish cooked to perfection and delicately spiced (try the prawn puree and the fish fillet starter. They cocked up the main dish order (Chef misread the waiters writing) but sorted it efficiently and courteously.
THE DOCK INN - Penzance

the bst pub in cornwall. No nonsense. Great beer (including Spingos). When they do food it is simple, generous and good (try their tiger baps). Pool table, live music, leather sofas, maritime charts on the walls, wood floors and lots of locals. Stinky urinals (traditional). This pub is a gem and should be Grade 1 listed before some arse turns it into a gastro-schlub.

smeely. sticky carpets. sound system usually too loud. A typical regional cinema and the reason why DVD’s do so well.

good lunch time hang out. Terrible 90’s decor. Food varies with the chef but currently (2008) they have cracking chef who cooks fish to perfection. 9.95 lunch special is a bit of a bargain if you have the fish. My megrim was heaven.
