Had one of the nicest meals ever here this week. Beautiful restaurant and food to match. At only £6.95 for 2 course lunch you won't find better.

Food was good but place is let down by service staff. With the exception of 1 member of staff the rest looked as though they had just been told their granny had died. My side dish of champ was stone cold, no not just cool but stone cold. When i advised waitress of this plate of champ was taken from my table and returned 5 minutes later withjout acknowledgement let alone an apology.
Needless to say no tip was left, something i would fail to do about once every decade.

This has now changed to an Express restaurant. You can have 1 choice of Main and 1 side for £3.50 up to a “Feast ” of 3 mains and 2 sides for only £6.00 Soft drinks are only £1 and are refillable or you can bring your own wine, so really good value.
Food was very nice and staff very friendly.

Manager very rude when I asked if I could use my Hi-Life 241 card. Made me feel like a criminal. I didn’t stay to try the overpriced food

Went last week at lunch for sit in. Sit in is upstairs and it seems they forget about you. We waited 30 minutes for a sausage supper and curry chips. Sausages tatsed like they had been cooked in the microwave but chips were lovely. Not the place for a quick lunch though.

Arrived at 6 O’clock having booked a table for 6:15 only to be told there was no booking. On checking waitress discovered that booking had been made for upstairs restaurant despite the fact it didn’t open until 6:30. As we were using Hi-Life (2 for 1) card we were told it would have to be upstairs as this was not accepted downstairs.
So we were sent upstairs where we were ignored for 20 minutes until I went seeking manageress. Were then left to persue menu for further 20 minutes making a hour in total.
Eventually order was taken and meal arrived about 20 minutes later.
Food was delicious although portions were small and we had to order 2 further side portions which arrived quickly and all 6 of us were more than satisfied with our meal.
Having finished our meal we had to wait a further 10 minutes until our plates were cleared and we immediately ordered desserts. Again these were delicious.
All in all food was ace but poor service badly lets the place down.
