This is a travel agent in the well known Going Places chain. Situated on the high street in the centre of Durham. It is centrally located and easy to find with good public transport links. The agency itself has access to booking all mainstream holiday packages including its own range of package holidays. They are also able to book flight and rail or coach tickets to all major locations. The staff are friendly, knowledgeable and eager to please. A wide variety of brochures are available to take away and browse. All in all I found dealing with these people to be stress free and easy.

Well I for one really really like this hotel. It’s situated on the A167 just a couple of miles south of DUrham. It is easy to find and a decent bus service travels past regularly. It also has a large car park. I’ve never stayed in one of the rooms to be honest but they are situated around the car park in a courtyard style. They advertise them as boutique hotels which is probably quite apt as that is the style of the restaurant. The food is absolutely fab, not a huge choice but enough to find something you like and the decor is beautiful.

This is a really handy place. On the outskirts of the city centre but conveniently placed for travelling in to the city. It’s easy to get to by car and has ample free parking in the large car park outside. The pub does a good bar meal, reasonably priced with a wide variety of choice. Every time we’ve been its been just nicely busy without being too crowded. There’s a kids play area and an adults only seating area. The travel lodge is situated next door to the pub. It is built and decorated in the usual travelodge style. Its good value for money and clean, warm and tidy. WHat more could you ask for?

Nice little pub and b and b in local village setting. A few miles away from centre of Durham in the village of Croxdale. Located near to the A167 direct road into Durham. Easy access by road to Durham, Spennymoor and down to Darlington. Nicely kitted out pub, good standard of decoration. A really nice place for a quiet drink, a meal or an overnight stay. Friendly staff and locals. Good menu, nice honest home cooked food to a good standard. I would highly recommend this pub. The village of Coxhoe is a peaceful, quiet location just right for a midweek treat or lazy weekend outing. Give it a try.

Cosy little guest house handy for central Durham. If you don’t fancy a big hotel then this is much more homely just a short distance from the city centre.

Handy well established travel agent in the heart of Durham. Easy to pop in whilst doing your shopping and big enough to handle all travel enquiries.

SMall guest house in a bit of a strange location kind out in the wilds in a former pit village. Not entirely sure about this one but I suppose if you needed to stay around Burnhope then its worth a shot.

Really nice country hotel style situated about 2 miles away from Durham. Never really busy but a nice buzz about the place. Worth a visit.

Very good college, part of the university of Durham. Small friendly college located up on Palace Green near the cathedral.

Local company providing a great service. Very fast callout and reasonable prices. Hard to fault.
