I really like this place!
They do a pint of Castlemain 4X for £2 if you have a student card, and also there is a meal deal for a thai meal and a pint for £6.50 (but you can’t eat it in the restaurant).
The restaurant and the pub are very different, but both good in their own way and I have always afound the staff friendly.

This place used to be called clockwork but has re-opened as 'The Lexington’. The theme being an American whisky and live music venue.
I went to last nights opening and unfortunately I was too late for the freebies, but I was presented with my 10% discount card (valid until June). I’m not an expert on American Whisky, but the menu did look impressive, with loads of bourbon ranging from £3 to £20 a shot. I did try a couple of the American bottled beers though and was impressed.
I enjoyed the vibe of the place; it was a good mixture of Students and locals. The music (duke box) was a mixture of Zeppelin, Clash, Kings of Leon, basically Indie/Rock; So fine with me. The staff were friendly as well which is always a good thing.
It’s open until 2 Mon- Thur and the 4 on Fridays and Saturdays. Great Stuff!

The Glamorgan Heritage Coast runs for 14 miles (23km), from Aberthaw to the dunes of Merthyr Mawr.
The scenery is superb, there are hidden castles, fantastic beaches and plenty of good pubs along the way. To be honest there is far too much to say about this area than one review would allow….

This is definately mid range rather than budget. But well worth the extra few quid.
The place is very secure, clean and has all that you would expect from a Hotel rather than a guest house.
It’s close enough to Khao San Road to be right in the action and far away enough (2 streets) to be a little quiter. I’ll definately remember this place.

This place was very clean and very reasonably priced. The staff were friendly and very eager to get our feedback (becuase the place was new I think).
It’s only a 10 minute walk from the main town/night market and has all the facilities needed (Internet access/bar/food/tour desk), all in all a perfect budget/mid range Guest House.
I’d definately stay here again.
