As the name might suggest, this is a bit of a greasy spoon, fast food style takeaway.
Unusually though, the food here is actually rather good - all freshly prepared (so you might expect a little bit of a wait) and decent stuff, although it is burger/fries/chicken…
I’m not a fast food and grease kind of girl, but this has quickly become a regular haunt after an evening at the pub, when the 1am munchies arrive.
Prices are reasonable and staff are really nice. Try it out if you’re a grease lover or just in need of a quick fast food fix.

It’s a great place for researching and reading, but the staff (especially the guy that was processing my reader pass) are the rudest and most unpleasant i have ever come across. I was absolutely fuming by the time i left and couldn’t believe the disgusting attitude of this person. I have dealt with much nicer people since then, however this one person has rather tainted my view of the library since…

This is a lovely square to relax in, and although it is surrounded on all sides by traffic, the tall trees and beautiful railings prevent the noise from becoming overpowering.
I ususally walk through here on my way to work and to the library and it really is a beautiful shortcut to take.
Tavistock Square looks especially attractive in the autumn.
Another interesting feature of this square are the various memorial trees, benches and statues, dedicated to locals and world leaders alike. There is also a discreet memorial to those who lost their lives in the 2005 London bomings (which happened close by).
Definately a great place for a stroll, there’s even a dog run to let your furry friends off the lead safely!

A busy, busy restaurant located directly on the Euston road with people and traffic constantly buzzing around.
The restaurant though, for it’s difficult location, it actually rather nice.
A cheerful Italian place with nice, simple decor and efficient staff make this an ideal choice for a quicl meal.
Menu options are extensive, with something for everyone at lunch or dinner time. Pizzas are huge and pasta served in steaming dishes, you won’t go hungry at this place. Staff are also more than happy for you to share a few dishes rather than ordering an individual starter/main each.
Another great point - the prices. I found this restaurant to be really cheap; a 2 course meal for 6 with a couple of bottles of wine and some beers came in at around £70 total. Very good value for the portions and nice quality food.

If you’re flying to or from london, then try and make it Heathrow, simply because of the ease of travel to the airport. Take the underground for a couple of pounds, try the overground train for a slightly higher price, or use the coach links for a trip by road.
Heathrow is well known for being the busiest airport in europe and this is something hard to dispute… I’ve flown from all terminals except 5, and there have always been queues at check in and security. It does depend a great deal on when you fly and which carrier you use, but be prepared for a little waiting time regardless.
Facilities are generally good, with a wide range of food and retail outlets on air and ground sides. Seating is also plentiful (thankfully), arranged around departure boards.
The least attractive areas are the gate areas before boarding flights… these are usually extremely shabby and for an international airport, it is easy to feel embarrased by these poor and dated facilities.
It’s a convenient airport to use and there are stores to keep you amused… As airports go, an okay place to wait!
