Taylor's Skip Hire - Merstham

I wish I had looked for reviews of Taylors Skip hire before using them.  The skip arrived on the morning of the day they said that they would deliver it, however, trying to get it removed was the problem.  The skip was delivered on the Tuesday and I filled it the same day.  I called Taylors late afternoon and they said it had been booked in the be collected the following day.  It had still not been collected by Thursday afternoon so I called them again and I was told that it would be collected on Friday.  At 4.40pm on the Friday I called them and asked it it would be removed that day as it was close to closing time.  I was told by a woman (who had an attitude problem throughout all of calls) that the drivers were working until 7.00pm as they had a problem with a vehicle earlier in the week.  I asked why I hadn't been told and just got an apology.  The skip wasn't collected on Friday.  That evening I looked at reviews on  Qype and saw that I was not the only person to have this problem and it seems that this is standard practice.  On Saturday morning I called again and spoke to man this time.  I explained the issue to him and he said that the skip would be collected that morning.  I asked him to promise that it would be collected and he did.  I also explained that I had the reviews online and all he did was laugh!  I called them again after midday on the Saturday and the woman with the attitude answered.  When I asked when it would be collected as I had been promied it would collected that morning she expalined that the drivers were working all that afternoon.  When asked why it hadn't been collected on Friday she said that teh drivers ran out of hours at 6.30pm.  I asked why I hadn't been called and told it would not be collected on Friday and she said that the office had closed.  Clearly drivers don't have phones and, if they do, they don't know how to use them.  I told her that I thought she was making up different stories each time I spoke to her - her response - you can think what you what!  I told her to drop the attitude and arrange for the skip to be collected.  Finally, at about 4.00pm it was collected.  My advice to anyone thinking of using Taylors Skip Hire in Merstham - don't do it.  Find another company that knows how to provide a good service and doesn't have stroppy women working in the office.

cardiegirl I am having exactly the same experience – its now eight days after I’ve asked to have it collected and am still waiting with same story as yours regarding everything! Wish I had checked the reviews first too.
