The new refurbished Sainsburys is AMAZING!!.. Fantastic range of TU clothing, including an exclusive Gok Wan range. A cafe upstairs, a pizza, hot chicken, salad, and fish bar….excellent!

I recently went to the Comedy Club which takes place in the bar area of the Victoria Theatre. Cannot fault the entertainment, however, our visit was during the freak heatwave in early October. The room was like an oven…there are no fans or air conditioning and the windows don’t open. There were so many people in there, it was so so hot.
The decor in the bar is vile. This is a beautiful theatre and to me, should be decorated in rich colours to show the Victorian splendour, not disgusting plain green colour…anyway thats just my personal taste.
It is worth a visit if there is a show on you fancy…good little theatre.

This was by far the best tasting curry I have ever had! I’m not a huge fan of the hotter/spicier varieties so liked the fact that they ask if you wantit mild, medium or hot. The chicken tikka makhani is absolutely beautiful and as not many Indian takeaways/restaurants feature this dish, I will definitely be re-ordering soon!!
Looking forward to a visit to the restaurant.

Visited IL Gusto for our wedding anniversary. Its quite a large restaurant but for some bizarre reason, the 4 couples that were there were all seated in one tiny corner. The menu is pretty much what you would expect from an Italian – all the typical pasta dishes plus pizza’s and some chicken dishes. There were also 2 veal dishes, one of which my husband chose, only to be told on ordering “oh sorry, we’re out of veal”….maybe this should have been pointed out when we were given the menu’s?? The food was ok, nothing spectacular though. The chairs are incredibly uncomfortable and were actually hurting the back of my thighs after about an hour.
All in all, it was an “OK” meal but for a main town centre restaurant, I feel they need to liven up their menu and get some better chairs!!!!!!
