I love bikram yoga i have been practicing for a number of years at actually started at City in 2008, it wasn't however until my job moved to soho for a while and I started going to the Hot Yoga Bikram studio in Great Portland Street. The staff, the building, the teachers everyone there was so friendly and open, and I've found this as i've traveled to New York, LA and Sydney... The experience at the City studio leave MUCH to be desired.
Whilst the class itself is what you make of it, its a personal practice after all, its the rude staff, and cramped spaces outside the studio, that make this the most un yogic studio i've every been to. No matter how many times i smile and try to engage the reception staff, even when doing the 30 day challenge which meant i was there everyday, they give nothing back, other than a grunt or a scowl.
I would not recommend this studio if you can get to any other in London do.
the lack of changing room space is also an issue, no lockers means that people's belongings have been stolen. again, not very yogic.
