    Schuh

1pxt lisamft last updated on 21-01-2009:

This medium sized Schuh store inside the Chapelfield shopping centre offers a wide range of fashionable shoes for men and women in a variety of sizes and styles. The store itself is bright and open, with seating areas so that you can try on the shoes before you buy them to make sure that they fit.

The brands sold here are often very attractive and stylish, although usually expensive as well. They stock a range of Converse and Vans shoes designs, in various colours and patterns.

The staff are friendly and helpful, walking around the store and asking if you need any help making selections.

  • QD Stores - Norwich

48-54 St. Stephens Street, Norwich, Norfolk NR1 3SH

    QD Stores

1pxt lisamft last updated on 21-01-2009:

QD is a large budget retail store located in the city centre, near to Chapelfield shopping centre and a number of bus stops.
The shop is vast, occupying two levels which are accessible by a escalators, and there are various areas which are raised or lowered that require the ability to use steps or else you might have some difficulty.

The shop itself caters to a variety of needs, and you can find all sorts of things in here, including clothes, electronic goods, light bulbs, sweets, toys, candles and decorative items and other homeware products. They also sell drinks and crisps at a reduced price.

There are lots of members of staff around to help, although the ones I’ve spoken to haven’t been particularly friendly. The queues are also sometimes quite long.

  • Tiger - Basingstoke

    Tiger

1pxt lisamft last updated on 21-01-2009:

Tiger, located in Old Basing Mall, is a strange thing, in that it is a somewhat more reputable pound shop. The shop sells all sorts of items, including kids toys, cushions, stationery, homewares, candles, food supplies, sweets and crisps, music and decorative items. These are all priced at either £1 in the majority of cases, sometimes stretching to £2, £5 or 2 for £1, which considering the items available is impressive.

The store is quite open and clean, and the music is very dated, presumably to keep the costs of having to pay royalties or pay for music down, but the atmosphere is pleasant and friendly. You can quite easily browse in here for quite a while, although sometimes the queues can get a bit long and tend to wind into the main area of the shop.

The staff are helpful and friendly, and will wrap fragile items in paper before packing them for you, which is always a good sign.

  • Waterstones Booksellers - Norwich

University Plain, Norwich, Norfolk NR4 7TR

    Waterstones Booksellers

1pxt lisamft last updated on 21-01-2009:

The UEA campus Waterstones, located on University Plain next to the Square and the Post Office, is a small bookshop that focuses mainly on providing textbooks and set reading material for the various courses that UEA offers. The store occupies two storeys, and there is a spiral staircase within the shop to go between the two. The lower level focuses mainly on fiction books, graphic novels and criticism. The upper is more dedicated to medicine and law etc.

The store contains the typical sections expected of a Waterstones, including classics, bestsellers, and a range of 3 for the price of 2 offers. The use of a Waterstones card also entitles students to a 10% discount off books, and you can pay with points if you have accrued any.

The staff are helpful and friendly, and will order in books if they are not available when you attempt to purchase them.

  • Tesco Stores - Norwich

    4 9 reviews

Blue Boar Lane, Norwich, Norfolk NR7 8AB

    Tesco Stores

1pxt lisamft last updated on 20-01-2009:

The Blue Boar Tesco’s is a large supermarket that caters to a variety of needs very effectively - food shopping, clothing, homewares, electronics and stationery.

The store is well laid out, with food in clearly identifiable and organised aisles, followed by homewares, electronics, clothing and stationery at the opposite end of the supermarket. The range of items is impressive, and the quality is generally very good with some unique products that you cannot find at other supermarkets being available here. There is also the Tesco value range that makes shopping on a budget a lot easier; this combined with the Tesco Clubcard which provides you with money off vouchers when you spend in store really can make a difference.

There are often some very good deals and bargains available in this store - I was able to purchase a laptop and printer at a very reasonable price, and both have been very reliable, high quality products since.

There is also a large car park outside, with plenty of parking space.
