The Co op - Shipley

This Co op is in a very convenient place, on the main road, but also near lots of houses in Baildon. 
It's a Co op food, so the primary stock is based around food. It has quite a convenience shop feel to it. 
The prices at Co ops are generally higher than other supermarkets. Sometimes you can pick up some good deals or offers, but I wouldn't do my weekly shop here. 
It's a bit dark inside too, it has a strange atmosphere in this shop. It doesn't feel light and open like most supermarkets. 

Laura Ashley - Shipley

Interesting shop, it sells a variety of items from homeware to clothing. 
It's quite expensive though, but as Laura Ashley is a designer brand you would expect this. It seems a bit out of place in Shipley to me, because there are no shops in that price range around! 

It's not too bad though, just not dirt cheap like other places around. The style and quality are worth the prices you pay here. 

W M Morrison Supermarkets - Bradford

Good Morrisons store. It's average sized, and stocks the usual range of food, drinks, toiletries etc. that you would expect from a supermarket. 
I find Morrisons has a different feel to it compared to Asda or Tesco, I think it has a friendlier atmosphere in general. 
They have a lot of tills, so queues aren't usually too bad.
Another great point about this store, is it's in a shopping centre. This means there are other shops conveniently outside the till areas so you can look in other shops too. For example Specsavers and The Range (which is next door). 

Miss Selfridge - Bradford

This shop is no longer open.
There is a Miss Selfridge in Leeds city centre though that is still open.

This shop is no longer open. Before it closed down it sold very cheap shoes. Most of them looked very cheap or didn't last long before breaking, so I think it's good they closed!

This shop is no longer open in Bradford.
Before it closed, it sold cheap clothing. I'm not even sure if the company still exists, as the one in Leeds closed down too!

Huge shop, it has a very clean and spacious feel to it. Staff are quick to offer help and give sales pitches. Bit of available pain if you are just browsing but if you do want to buy something they can be helpful. Prices are average but can be beaten online.

Large shop, with big displays. Easy to find what you are looking for. Staff are helpful in general. I think the prices here are a little better than some competitors. However I find most prices can be beaten online.

The shop is large, and full of displays of every kind of technology or appliance. Staff are often quick to offer help, but it feels a little sales orientated. They stock a good range, and sometimes have good offers andc prices. I prefer to buy online than the shop though, I find the prices better and no pushy sales.

Daley's Art Supplies - Bradford

Really good art supplies shop. It's located across the road from both the college and university, so perfect for course materials. The prices can be quite high, but they are average for art materials, as they are generally expensive anyway. One really good point is they offer student discount if you attend college, you just need to show your college card when you make a purchase. Staff are friendly and helpful if you have any questions.
