Specsavers Opticians - Chingford
26 Old Church Road, Chingford, London E4 8DD
31-01-2009
This is a large opticians. The staff are often unfriendly and make you wait even when they’re not busy.
They stock a range of glasses to try on both designer and more reasonably priced styles but I have found them to be inferior quality and now avoid this place!
Also, if you do use here, watch out for being stung by not taking advantage of offers, a friend of mine had their glasses re-glazed and it ended up costing the same as two new designer pairs!
J J Wool & Crafts - Chingford
89 Station Road, Chingford, London E4 7BU
31-01-2009
This is another small looking shop but goes a long way back leaving plenty of room to stock their selection of wool, card making, ribbon and other craft supplies.
The staff are friendly and quite helpful and are often making something themselves so you can tell it is a passion rather than just a job which makes them knowledgable on their products.
There is not often a queue.
Eyedeal Vision - Chingford
40 Station Road, Chingford, London E4 7BE
31-01-2009
A large opticians in North Chingford.
They are quite professional and friendly however, being independent they are quite expensive with an eye test costing around £25.
The glasses also work out expensive compared to other opticians.
Eye tests have to be booked in advance as they do get busy but a long wait is rare.
J J Lighting & Electrical - Chingford
87 Station Road, Chingford, London E4 7BU

This electrical shop in the North Chingford area doesn’t sem very big for the nature of the business from outside but it’s quite spacious.
They have quite a lot of stock to choose from. They are also happy to recommend items and order them in, they also deliver and install appliances to the local area.
Not often too busy, a long wait is rare.
Royal Ribs - Chingford
14 Hatch Lane, Chingford, London E4 6LQ
31-01-2009
Another awful Chingford Hatch take-away.
Well it’s a bit harsh as this is quite popular and tastes good while you eat it but I for one have regretted it after!
Still handy if you live in the area or are passing through.
Fish 'N' Chick'n - Chingford
22 Hatch Lane, Chingford, London E4 6LQ
31-01-2009
This is the worst fish and chip shop I have ever been to.
It looks OK from the outside but the food, in my opinion and most people I’ve spoken to, is awful.
However, the branch in Chingford mount was always really nice, not sure why that is!
Chillisauce I sort of remember the relaunch of the one in the Mount and I was sure it closed and changed hands so I double checked, because I don't want to be accused of spreading false information.
The one on the Mount is separate, I just think that they have not updated their website.

Empire Fish Bar - Chingford
64 Sewardstone Road, Chingford, London E4 7PR
31-01-2009
This take-away and delivery shop sells fish and chips along with all the other options such as kebabs and pies.
They have recently refurbished to include a small seating area which serves as a cafe during the day.
The food is very good and the staff polite the big let down though is the time it takes them to deliver, especially at the weekends, it is sometimes an hour and half wait!
Vujon Indian Take Away - Chingford
43B Hatch Lane, Chingford, London E4 6LP
31-01-2009
A small indian take-away in the Hatch Lane area.
The staff are always very polite and they are quick to deliver.
The food is very good and the prices are also reasonable.
There is a 10% discount if you collect your food and a TV to watch while you wait.
Tour Eiffel - Eiffel Tower
Paris
31-01-2009
A well known tourist attraction in Paris.
It is a very annoying place to be near tourist attractions as there are so many people trying to con you, this somewhat ruins the 'romantic’ city and is it’s worst feature.
The Eiffel tower is a good experience and I’d recommend going to the top if you can afford it although there’s a good view from each level.
Just try not to fall for any cons and be prepared for freezing weather and a long queue time.
Butte du Lion - Waterloo
Route du Lion 315, 1410 Waterloo
31-01-2009
This monument in Belgium stands on the grounds where the battle of Waterloo took place. It is part of an exhibition centre which includes other attractions such as a battlefield tour and a panoramic painting of the battle.
The monument itself is a big mound with a lion on which visitors can climb and the view from the top is amazing as long as you don’t mind heights!
Although I’m not a big history fan I found it a very interesting experience and would recommend it.
Also, students are given a discount and the restaurant opposite is very nice!
