I had the unfortunate pleasure of using this garage before and all I can say is DONT!! The garage is run down, shabby and lacking the facilities to do anything more technical than the most basic of mechanical work. The owner/mechanic has no idea how to fix the problem so bodged it, the work had to be rectified later by a proper garage. Just check out the place before you even contemplate using it and you’ll soon drive away and go else where.

puggyme yesterday I was stranded with the car suspension broken. John Baker who runs Cars coaches and commercials aka Tydd Garage, came all the way out to pick up the car, then ran me to the shop to buy a pickaxe and some coal, then drove me home, took the car back to the garage, spent the day fixing it, drove it back to my home. The cost? Less than £300 all in. Anyone in the area who wants a good reliable mechanic who is honest and won’t screw you over, then go to Tydd Garage.
Of course if you want a shiny lorry, a dragoon of young men in clean overalls leaping about and singing, shiny seats and signage and are happy to pay for all that, then maybe this is not the place for you. Perhaps you are even one of the customers who begged them to help and fix your car when nobody else would touch it because youhad no money, then simply didn’t pay and got narked when the garage owners had to ask again and again for the payment. I have no idea who you are Nick but I’ve never heard anything other than good things about the people who run this no frills garage. He’s been in business there for around 15 years so he can’t be as bad as you make out can he?
