Nell of Old Drury - Covent Garden

29 Catherine Street, Holborn, London WC2B 5JS

13-10-2008

This is a lovely little pub located opposite the Theatre Royal Drury Lane. Great for a pre-show drink but if you come after the show you may get to meet some of the actors from the nearby shows. Very relaxed lovely staff and if there is no room downstairs you will oftern find a seat upstairs. Make sure you admire all the West End theatre posters adorning the wall.

This is a gorgeous Floral shop with a stunning selection of oftern rare flowers. The staff are incredably helpful ( I once had the lot of them running around trying to help me find the perfect item) They also sell gorgeous (But pricey) vases. It is joined by a design homewares gift shops with lovely items and they oftern have a half price table with lovely goodies!!

Clifton Road, Maida Vale, London W9 1TP

13-10-2008

This is a sweet little road side floral stand. There are some great bargins to be had here and some beautiful bunches of fresh flowers also. It can be closed in terrible weather but you cant blame them for that!

Cafe Laville - London

453 Edgware Road, London W2 1TH

13-10-2008

this is a very small restaurant/cafe perched over the canal waterways which makes for a great place to sit and chat and watch the boats pass underneath. The food changes in quality, the breaffasts are a little on the small size but the cakes and coffees are usually great.

Café Rouge - Maida Vale

30 Clifton Road, Maida Vale, London W9 1ST

13-10-2008

I love this cute French themed Cafe/Restaraunt, especially for breakfast! they do an all day breakfast and great coffees. Resonably priced food with some french delights such as onion soup to conventional fish cakes. They have a great range of wines and beers also. The staff are very charming and the decor makes you feel you are in some cute little Parisan cafe (minus the ciggarette smoke!!) Gorgeous!!

A good shop for picking up a nice bottle of wine. Its all in sections from which country you want to choose from eg New Zealand, Chille, South Africa etc. They have some resonably priced wines and if you need some advice on wine the staff are very knowledgable

The Warrington Hotel - Maida Vale

93 Warrington Crescent, Maida Vale, London W9 1EH

Gordon Ramsey’s gastro pub in Maida Vale is a huge pub, done up nicely, all brown wood and cosy downstairs and upstairs in the restaurant, nice simple decor. Make sure you book ahead as its usually packed. Great food, yummy free bread sticks while you wait for your Food. The mains are decently sized (pork and apple to die for!!) the wines were lovely and the desert (can I reccomend the trifle!!!) all great!! and resonably priced. Lovely staff also!

Boat House Restaurant - Little Venice

opp. 60 Blomfield Rd, Little Venice, London W9 2PD

12-10-2008

This is a nice little restaurant right on the water of the canel in Little Venice, just a minutes walk from Warwick Avenue tube station. get in early so you can sit on the deck and gaze at the canal boats going past. Nice selection of food on the new menu, I can reccomend the pork! resonably priced, though the service was a little slow, but at least there was something to look at!

Al Jannet Supermarket - St. Johns Wood

405 Edgeware Road, London W2 1NE

12-10-2008

This is a fantastic open all hours Supermarket on Edgeware Rd. It has a little deli out the back and fresh fruit and veges out the front. I come here to buy large tubs of yogurt, the best fresh olives and pita bread. They have all the usual middle eastern goodies here and the service isnt too bad!
