This is my home-from-home. The genuinely friendly and delightful couple who run it, their crew of cheerful assistants, Captain the adorable resident dog, quirky antiques, home-made food… what’s not to love? I regularly hold parties here as the food is superb and such good value, and it really feels like hosting at home. Snuggle by the cosy fire in winter or chill out in the well-kept garden in summer -oh, and the all-day Sunday brunch is second to none!

This was a surprise hidden gem in the fashion desert that is Windsor. Small boutique with a clean, pared-down but welcoming decor, staffed by fashion-savvy but friendly girls - not a smidgeon of snootiness in sight! Excellent bargains to be had in sale time too: I popped in just before Christmas and came out with a divine PPQ dress at a fraction of the price, plus other goodies, all in time for the whirl of parties. The stock is limited, as you’d expect in a small boutique, but judiciously chosen. Nice mix of quirly labels and timeless classics.
