HAD A PROBLEM WITH RAINBOWS 2K PRIMER, PAINT SHRINKS AFTER A COUPLE OF WEEKS,LEAVING A SMALL BUT NOTICABLE LINE AROUND ANY FILLER THAT IS UNDER PAINT. CALLED REP OUT TO INSPECT AND AT FIRST HE SAID PAINT TO THICK, THEN HE CHANGED HIS MIND AND SAID;
OF THE HUNDREDS OF PRIMERS WE SELL, YOU BUY THE CHEAPEST CRAP WE SELL AND EXPECT GOOD RESULTS.
COMPANY NOT WILLING TO HELP OUT TO CORRECT PROBLEM IN ANY WAY.
WILL DEFINATELY NOT BE USING RAINBOW PAINTS IN THE FUTURE AND WILL PUT OFF FUTURE CUSTOMERS. BE WARNED;; THERE IS NO HELP FROM THEM WHEN YOU HAVE A PROBLEM!!!!

lee79 was this the Rainbows own brand 2k primer? I have used this primer for years and not had any problems with it, i know a couple of years ago it slightly changed. Its not as thick as it used to be, was told it was to do with the new voc laws! Its a 4 to 1 mix with little thinners. The problem you’ve had sounds like you’ve applied it thick or maybe your gun set up is wrong. I myself have used Rainbow paints for years and have never had any problems and always find them helpful and very cheerfull

malc1928 Yes this was rainbows own brand of 2k primer and yes mixed as you describe. but when you have used other brands of primer and not had a problem with it, then you get a job when owner of vehicle supplies the paint, its then that you realise how shite there products are.
I was disgusted at the companies willingness to rectifiy the problem. Firstly you have to put up with all the Bullshit from their rep,all he does is say things one minute, then ten minutes later he denies he even said it. Then when you try to go higher in the company and speak to the boss, well he is always in a meeting,or not available, so you leave a message for him/her to call you back in which this never happens.
Basically the view i have over the whole experience is;
WE`VE HAD YOUR MONEY NOW F—K OFF!
