Bedford Arms - Clapham

409 Clapham Road, London SW9 9BT

28-07-2009

Typical old style boozer - but with fantastic music! Great venue for live music with a stage upstairs as well as down, drinks are a reasonable price and there’s a cheap barbecue in the garden.

Nothing fancy (AT ALL), but a good place to hang out and get nice a merry with like-minded mates!

Michelangelo's Ristorante - Buxton

1 Market Place, Buxton, Derbyshire SK17 6EB

31-12-2008 (updated on 02-01-2009)

Lovely bigger-than-it-seems Italian restaurant with gorgeous food and friendly staff.

Reasonably priced food and drinks.

Their steaks are amazing and the belgian waffles are incredible.

Budgens - Wealdstone

High Street, London HA3 7SA

31-12-2008

Large late opening convinience store.

Frozen and fresh foods, booze, tobacco, homewares, flowers, spices, toiletries, lots of chocolate…

The staff can be quite rude but it’s probably because of busyness and lack of understanding - always helpful however.

If you go late at night, there can often be a rather nasty smell…

Calamity Comics - Harrow

17 -19 Springfield Road, London HA1 1QF

31-12-2008

Lovely little comic book shop close to the town centre.

Loads of comics, film and TV merchandise, models, toys, games and much more geekery.

Knowledgable and friendly staff.

PD Nowells chemist - Harrow

Weald Lane, London HA3 5ES

31-12-2008

Small independent chemist nearby to Enderley Road Medical Centre.

This chemist has make up as well as medicines, sugar free sweets, £1 toiletries and lots of hair supplies.

Nice helpful staff.

Enderley Road Medical Centre - Harrow

Enderley Road, London HA3 5EU

31-12-2008

Lovely doctor’s surgery with wonderful nurses and GP’s.

Flu clinic, baby days, friendly receptionists and computer for quick checking in.

It can be very hard to get an appointment - especially if you want to see a specific GP.

There are limited parking places and there is a chemist nearby.

Colours - Harrow Weald

High Street, London HA3 6EL

31-12-2008

Small friendly hairdressers.

Polite, chatty expert staff.

Reasonably priced, nice coffee and cuts and colours!

Discount Direct - Harrow Weald

Large 'poundland’ type store.

They sell A LOT of different items. Such as; toiletries, homewares, kitchenware, paint, storage systems, bedding, stationary, wrapping paper and cards, books, make up and smelly things.

The staff are nice and will help you if you ask, and everything is very reasonably priced.

The New Moon - Harrow

25 Kenton Road, London HA1 2BW

31-12-2008

Large Moon’s pub, with typically priced food and drink.

Food is to be as expected, and the staff vary from nice to ok.

Patrons range from 18 - 80, most seeming to be around 50.

Small room at the back (for hire?), and smoking areas.

Large TV’s for sports.

The Grasshopper - Harrow

High Street, London HA1 2TP

31-12-2008

Small head shop in Harrow.

Trinkets, jewellery, smoking paraphernalia, gifts, gadgets and homewares.

Don’t forget the expert piercing and tattoos!

Great shop, lovely staff.
