T.K. Maxx - Hammersmith
57 King Street, Hammersmith, London W6 9HW
10-12-2008
I love TK Maxx located opposite McDonalds in King Street Hammersmith. It is a huge store over 3 floors. They sell designer goods which are end of line or discontinued stock. There is a huge homeware section on the top floor where you can also get childrens toys & gifts for men. On the middle floor is the childrens clothes section which is relatively small unfortunately but you can pick up a bargain there sometimes, there is a huge selection of mens & womens shoes & trainers. Also on this floor are the mens clothes, suitcases, jewellery & gifts, handbags & much more. On the ground floor is the womens clothes, sportswear & down the far end underwear, swimwear & ballgowns. There are many bargains to be had in this great store which is organised by sizes so easy to find what you want. There are many items there on my wish list :)
Oxfam - Hammersmith
87 King Street, Hammersmith, London W6 9HW

The Oxfam charity shop located opposite Primark in King Street Hammersmith is a shop where I always stop to have a browse. It has quite a big selection of clothes, books, ornaments, fair trade goods, videos, dvd’s, jewellery & other bits & bobs. The staff are friendly & helpful & accept any unwanted things you may have to donate.

I have never eaten inside this Indian restaurant, hope to one day but have had many takeaways & they are delicious. I usually order by phone & it has arrived within half an hour. The food is great value for money, large portions & sooo nice, i highly recommend them :)
The Disney Store - Hammersmith
Hammersmith Broadway, Hammersmith, London W6 9YD

My kids love going to the disney store at Hammersmith butterwick station, it is located on the ground floor near the lifts. It is only small but crammed with lots of gorgeous stuff. It is a little pricey but nice for special occasions & you can sometimes pick up a bargain if there is a sale on. Well worth a browse.
Tiger - Hammersmith
41-42 Kings Mall, Hammersmith, London W6 0YH

Tiger Tiger is a cheap budget shop but does stock some useful items. They have alot of ornamental stuff, arty things, cheap computer accessories, a selection of nice crockery & kitchen ware, nice candles, picture frames & lots of other bits & bobs. I did actually visit the store today & came away with a £2 fleece lined blue bobble hat with flaps over the ears for my younger daughter as it was bitterly cold outside & a cute £2 'angel’ trinket box for my eldest daughter’s christmas stocking.
Queen's Head - West Kensington
13 Brook Green, Hammersmith, London W6 7BL

I love this pub, it is a hidden gem located to the side of Brook green. It is a typical English pub with loads of character & good food, bit pricey but worth it. Out the back is a gorgeous garden much bigger than you would expect, it is pretty & tranquil with loads of atmosphere, well worth a visit, you will be pleasantly surprised.
The Hammersmith Ram - Hammersmith
81 King Street, Hammersmith, London W6 9HW

The Ram pub is situated in King street in Hammersmith next to Barclays bank. It is a nice place with friendly staff. The food is great & they do the biggest, chunkiest chips i have ever seen lol. There is a large eating area with tables & chairs or you can choose to sit on one of the many sofas. Out the back there is a nice space with bench tables where you can eat or drink in a lovely atmosphere.
Kingston Hospital NHS Trust - Kingston upon Thames
Galsworthy Road, London KT2 7QB

I was at the day surgery unit yesterday waiting for my daughter whilst she was having an operation. I was very anxious & upset & the staff in the day room were very supportive & kind offering hot tea & helpful information. This particular area was very clean & shiny & was immediately dealt with as soon as a patient vacated the cubicle. It was very child friendly with a variety of toys & things to keep the kids amused whilst they were waiting to be operated on or recovering. I was able to go into the operating theatre (appropriately dressed) to be with my daughter whilst she was put to sleep, I then went for coffee at one of the many food & drink places in the main hospital. I returned to the day room to wait for my child to come out the recovery room, it was generally quiet & calm with the radio playing in the background. After she returned & was resting, the surgeon & anesthetist came to visit her to see if she was ok which was nice. We were allowed to stay as long as we wanted until my child was ready to leave.
Queen Mary's Hospital - Roehampton
Roehampton Lane, Roehampton, London SW15 4LB
04-12-2008
The new Queen Marys hospital was built to replace the old one next to it where my son was born 22yrs ago (gosh that makes me feel old lol). It has been in use a few years now & is a nice modern structure all shiny & new with lots of glass. There is a car park next to it with easy access to the hospital via ramps & covered walkways, no stairs so easy for wheelchairs. The inside is nicely decorated, clean & shiny & all the toilets are lovely & clean. There are cafes, coffee shops, various drinks & food machines & lots of free water dispensers everywhere. It is very child friendly with a kids play area in most departments. There are lots of friendly staff around if you need help or directions.
Marks and Spencer - Chelsea

I love M&S in Hammersmith which is located in King Street opposite the 'square’. It is a fairly large store that sells good quality foods, homewares (including a great 'value’ range), jewellery, men & womens clothes & schoolwear on occasions. It also has a nice range of Christmas gifts & books in at the moment with a 3 for 2 offer on selected items. The staff are helpful & polite & the store is air conditioned. Everything is on the one floor with automatic doors so easy access for buggies & wheelchairs.
