friendly, yes, but embarrassingly slow for a chippy! and the portions are a little stingy too, it isn’t like there is a lot of competition for them, the only chippy in the village,so why?
Wish it was a better chippy, we would visit it more, but we only go if we have to, which sounds mean, but we would rather, and do, drive through to Jack K’s or Stuarts. :/

Still the best chippy in Beverley. Friendly staff, good menu,decent prices, perfectly cooked, and you get a great range of extras, and drinks, but no fancy rubbish!
If they havent got what you want ready or frying, they will cook it from scratch for you, go there and experience it, great. :)

Called in here on the way home after a evening out, with two hungry teenagers in tow. It was about 10.30pm, The wait between ordering and receiving the food was well over 10 minutes, there was a queue backing up around the building…unlike other branches we were not asked to pull up in a waiting space.
The staff did seem to be bothered, and if I had not already paid I would have driven off and gone somewhere where my custom was more appreciated!
When the ‘food’ came the fries were not hot, and one order of a grilled chicken wrap was rubbish! It contained just chicken,(and not as much as there should be) and a bit of shredded lettuce, no other salad, not one slice of tomato or cucumber, and hardly any sauce. Because we were about half a mile away when this was discovered, and just starving and tired, with a 45 minute drive home ahead of us we did not return.
AND will never return, my advice to the management here, is get a rocket up the staff, regarding people skills, and standards for the food, and if you are a potential customer…drive a bit further to a different branch!
