A good pub with a cosy feel in each of its three sections. Live music at weekends too. Handy location near Waverley station.

A great view of the castle from our "castle view" room but the hotel is starting to show its age - damp in paintwork in the room.

A bit of a tourist trap but decent beer and live music. supposedly the oldest pub in Edinburgh.

great if you can get a table. you can book on-line as - remember. a bit pricy but worth it for a special occaision.

can't visit Edinburgh without visiting the castle. I've been a few times and always enjoyed it. It's on the main tourist bus routes and has a big car park near the bottom of the hill. great views over the city too.
