The largest Anglican church in Luton and a wonderfully welcoming place to visit. Friendly people meet in a beautiful, historic building and are always glad to see new faces. The Sunday worship is always good, the community are friendly, and there’s also a group for mothers and toddlers once a week. Lots of activities for kids too. Great place if you’re looking for a church in Luton.

A quanto pare Napoleone chiamava questa piazza la sala giochi d'Europa, e in effetti è sorprendente. Un sacco si negozi sotto i portici, alcuni bar incredibilmente cari che si prenderanno 8 euro per un espresso, la delizia bizantina della cattedrale di San Marco e del campanile. Un bellissimo luogo adatto a una passeggiata, specialmente la sera quando musicisti suonano vicino alle terrazze dei bar. Gioioso.

Parece ser que Napoleón llamó a este sitio el estudio de pintura de Europa, y es de verdad impactante. Montones de tiendas en la arquería cubierta que rodea la plaza, algunos cafés salvajemente caros que muy alegremente se llevarán 8 euros por una tacita de café, la delicia bizantina de la catedral de San Marcos, y el campanile también. Un lugar maravilloso para pasear, particularmente por la tarde cuando hay música en vivo por los alrededores de las terrazas. Un lugar dichoso.

Napoleon a apparament appelle cette place la salle de dessin de l'Europe. Et c'est certainement impressionant. Beaucoup de magasins dans l'arcade couverte qui se trouve dehors, des cafes extremements chers qui seront contents de vous prendre 8 euros en echange d'une petite tasse de cafe, et le plaisir Byzantin de la cathedrale St Mark, et la Campanile aussi. Un magnifique endroit pour se ballader, particulierement le soir quand les musiciens live jouent sur le bord des terraces de cafes. Joyeux.

A decent store. The usual range of cosmetics and toiletries at reasonable prices. Often they are undercut by Wilkinson’s which seems to have much lower prices, but Superdrug’s special offers are good and their store is a lot less cramped. A good place in a convenient location - recommended.

A decent branch of Alliance and Leicester. It’s in quite a small area but manages to cram a fair bit into their little amount of floor space. Staff are friendly and helpful (although very eager to make you take out a mortgage) and efficient. Can get busy at peak times, but that’s pretty common these days. Furthermore, A&L bank accounts offer excellent rates of interest. I like.

A good little branch. It’s actually tiny, but manages to get a couple of cashier desks and a few offices into its small space. Staff are friendly and helpful and seem efficient, and the couple of times I have been in recently there haven’t been any queues at all which was a pleasant surprise. On top of that, their bank accounts are fantastic - I get 8.5% interest. Can’t complain!

Une assez bonne branche de Pizza Express. C'est une situation pratique et le bâtiment en lui même est très joli, avec une sorte de dôme en verre teinté au milieu de la salle à manger. Le personnel est assez efficace cependant ils semblent toujours occupés, et la nourriture est assez descente, et d'un bon prix. Un bon truc pour un morceau rapide à manger.

Pretty good branch of Pizza Express. It’s in a convenient location and the building itself is beautiful, with a sort of stained glass dome thing in the middle of the dining room. Staff are pretty efficient although they always seem busy, and the food is decent enough, and well priced. A good bet for a quick bite to eat.

Nice place! Great range of food items, plenty of deliciously unhealthy stuff and also some healtheir items for those that want. With such good variety and friendly staff it’s a lovely break from the chain restaurants which you find so often these days. “Comfort food” is the perfect description - lovely stuff, and very English.
