How on earth someone of Jamies profile allows this to operate in his name i'll never know - totally dis organised no tables available at the george street entrance walked round to rose street entrance and we were sat in two mins?!? starters came balanced on two tins of chopped tomatoes why? all chucked together and we watched the dishes being put up on the shelf for the waiters and half of ours sat there for a good five mins ander really hot lights except our chips which were in the corner - the menu even given it is simple, still creates an expectation that in every dish failed to deliver - tuna pasta had to be returned for tuna! fancy fries were cold - scallop linguine inedible and so bland. Wine was excellent hence the one star and the asst manger who listened to our moans was also excellent Rebecca??maybe! No chance of filling its seats every night 260 of them seemingly - although I believe that he got it rent free for two years because our council wanted him in there - great what you can do when playing with somebody else's budget!

good simple gastro style of food - reasonably priced and great views if you can see out the window. huge portions and a few nice wines by the glass. they have a restaurant too but thats only open at weekends I think

Been here a couple of times since they moved from Leith to Stockbridge. have to say it was really very good on both lunch and dinner. Lunch was on a saturday and we had a tapas style lunch with my extended family of 9. so much choice and really tasty small and large plates, different but worked a treat for so many of us try the spicey oyster shooters!! Dinner was last week and it was probs the best fish dinner I've had in edinburgh - Cod with mussel and leek velout was outstanding and my partner had a stunning curry with Monkfish and king prawns. starters were sahimi of salmon and seared king scallops. we had a delish fiano from sicily and a couple of glasses of proseco. Staff were there when we needed them and knew their menu inside out, it was busy and buzzy it's in an old bank but still has the aluminium bar that they had in Leith. Dont understand the other reviewer comments about price as fresh fish costs a fortune - our wine was £40+ but there was loads of wines around the £20 mark and the food bill was £48, in my book that is fantastic value. we'll be back.
