UPDATE TODAY IS 19/3/12 AND They are advertising on Wowcher

Can’t really comment yet as only waiting a few weeks. However I have a dispute with another deal site ongoing from July 11. I contacted Consumer Direct and got the advice below. They have also passed my query to Trading stds, although I beleive they need 2 or more complaints to investigate. Certainly dont want to irk pete as i know he is busy and makes an effort to post replies, even if it is the same one, but this information / advice, isnt anything that isnt widely available elsewhere

Your contract is governed by the Distance Selling Regulations which covers some contracts which have been concluded by means of distance communication e.g. telephone, internet, mail order etc. Under these regulations a trader has up to 30 days in which to deliver goods to a consumer unless specific arrangements have been agreed on. If the goods are not delivered within 30 days you may consider the contract automatically cancelled.

UPDATE.

Have to say cant really fault their communication in the last couple of days. I emailed them on Tuesday Night.( 6/3/12) and redeived a few replies on Wednesday. The first was the apology and promising to mark my case urgent, another that it was expedited andanother that it was processing. I then received an email on Thursday advising it was in dispatch.

Hopefully arrive soon.

Once the goods have been delivered you have 7 working days (day 1 is the day after you receive the goods) in which to ask for a full refund (including delivery charges), unless the goods are exempt. Exempt goods would include perishable items, personalised items and any orders for a specific date or time, such as travel, accommodation or concert tickets.(Cancellation is deemed effective from the time of posting.) If the trader has not provided confirmation of your cancellation rights, you have 3 months and 7 working days to cancel. Alternatively, you can cancel at any time before you receive the goods and claim a full refund. Any refund should be issued within 30 days from the date of cancellation.

At this stage you should formalise your complaint by sending a recorded delivery letter, giving the trader 14 days to respond and making your position clear. If the trader does not respond to this letter with a satisfactory remedy, you should send the trader one more recorded delivery letter. This time giving the trader 7 days in which to respond, making it clear to the trader that this is your final letter before taking further action.

Sending letters by recorded delivery and keeping a copy has more impact and helps to prove that you have been reasonable. Please follow this link http://www.direct.gov.uk/en/Diol1/DoItOnline/… (or copy and paste it to your browser’s address bar) to see our templates letters.

minimum2 AAAhhhh just noticed someone has already mentioned consumer direct, don’t feel so bad now.

This is a great salon and Glad to see Tanya Back. It is calming nad serene and the Therapists are superb. It is a little haven. Even Men feel safe / not intimidated as it is set in a little courtyard off the main road and is therefore discreet. I always get a phonecall / text when offers and promotions are on too.

Keep up the good work girls

This is place is great if you want quick, pub grub. Ok it’s not gourmet but it is cheap and quick, without the nasty. |The ydo a 2 main courses for a Tenner deal and desert i think only costs £1.00 each more. There is alos a family deal, whic hif I rember was 2 courses for 2 adults for £20.00 it might even have been £15 but don’t quote me.

They offer bottomless drinks for a set price with unlimited refils on both hot and cold beverages. They have buffet nights such as mexican, indian and chinese which I havent sampled yet. It is light and airy inside and best of all, there is a soft play area for the kids.

I cant fault it all, staff are efficient and pleasant, you simply take your table no: and order to the bar and pay when you order, then yhour food is brought to you.

Unfortunately this is not a good shop. I purchased an item and didnt realise it was faulty until i got it home. A refund was refused as it is not policy to refund sale goods. Fact s, it was faulty. Could have had an exchange but under consumer law I would then be subject to their standard return policy of exchange / credit note, whic his fair enough if i simply change my mind. Refused to listen to Sale of Goods Act and even if I produced it black and white “It’s not our Policy to Refund Sale goods” If the item was marked as faulty I would understand as It would be bought as seen and reduced / labelled according. The Manageress was rude and parrot fashion, even walking away whilst I was talking to her, the owner was behind the till but denied ownership, only to then ask her to do somthing. ( Why would the manager accept orders from a subordiante – of course He was the owner). would love to give it Zero rating but can’t. Contacted TSNI
