There always seems to be something broken.
It gets pretty crowded but only at peak times (1ish and 6ish).
They’ve got decent equpitment but it’s by no means cutting edge.
LOATHE the music they play.

Every website I’ve read a review for has mentioned cocktails at a fiver. This is no longer the case. They’re 6 quid. This is still a fair price for top quality ingredients and interesting options. The two I’d most recommend would be Sgt. Pepper and Saffron Collins. These were the winners hands down and we tried a large portion of the menu.
This is the kind of place you’ll be hesitant to tell others. Please don’t go blabbing to all your friends. it’s still relatively easy to score a table even on a Saturday night. BOOK IN ADVANCE! You will embarass yourself by just showing up. We saw some seriously cool people get turned away.

hubby and i just got back from lunch here. we were so pleasantly surprised. at 37 quid a person for 4 courses and two glasses of wine each its an excellent value especially with the freebies (perfect king prawn cracker, delicious petit four cakes). We didn’t choose a single bad dish although i would have gone for the banana instead of the calvados souffle. The scallop as your intermediate is a must.

i could only have a better local kebab shop if i lived in istanbul. it’s much more affordable to take it away and just as good. i always get it “in a box” you get a fresh and crunchy salad and bread as opposed to wrapped up. it’s 50p more and worth every penny

tacky decor, so-so food, opera music, fussy servers, but EXCELLENT realtively affordable cocktails. people act as if it is a real bargain but any of the turkish or vietnamese will be much cheaper. go once for the novelty.
