Briscola - Bollington

88 Palmerston Street, Macclesfield, Cheshire SK10 5PW

28-11-2008

Food is brilliant!
They have great lunch time specials, which are really cheap! and far more than you can eat on a lunch time. However, if you can only get through halve a pizza they are more than willing to put the rest in a box for you to take home!

The decor is great, and staff friendly and helpful, and the service is fast which is great for a lunch time

Magic Cove - Trenance

Newquay, Cornwall TR8 4BZ

28-11-2008

One of the best camp site’s in the area!! and it’s a lovely little cove area which even in summer doesn’t seem to get packed out like most beaches - partly because there isn’t much else in the area

The owners are really friendly and helpful, they even lent us some deck chairs!

The toilets are well maintained and cleaned a couple of times a day.

They have an upper camping area which is great for big groups and the very best thing is that they have a local person who arrives in their car a couple of times a week selling fresh cakes! yum!!!!

Poundland - Macclesfield

55 Mill Street, Macclesfield, Cheshire SK11 6NG

I have to agree. Poundland is ACE!! I can’t walk past without going in.
It’s one of the those stores, once it’s gone it’s gone, so you need to pick up those bargains when they are there - electrical stuff like wires and cables always come in useful eventually!

Great for housecleaning products. Great for wrapping paper, they always have packs of tissue paper in there which comes in handy for wrapping gifts, flowers and topping off a nice gift bag!

McArthur Glen designer outlet - Fulford

St Nicholas Avenue, York, North Yorkshire YO19 4TA

28-11-2008

All the usual outlet goodies!!

Probably my favourtie outlet of them all. It has a good selection of shops, my favourite being Shoe Studio which sells Bertie, Nine west etc at various prices, but usually very cheap, had loads of designer shoes for under a tenner from there!! Worth a trip just for the shoes!

But they also have Armani, Calvin Klein, ted Baker, LK Bennett and Mexx to name a few.

It’s just outside York, (which has load of ace shops!!) and has loads of parking (especially compared to Cheshire Oaks where you often have to drive around) and there is also a bus service from central York

Jar Bar - Macclesfield

4 Park Green, Macclesfield, Cheshire SK11 7NA

One of the few fairly decent places in Macclesfield to go for a drink. Nice decor and ambience - except when they run theme nights, and then it can be pretty dire!

They have a nice outside area at the front, which is great in summer, although fairly small so the tables a can get taken pretty quickly!!

They have a great cocktail menu, however, not all the staff are great at making cocktails!!

Walthamstow Market - Walthamstow

High Street, London E17 7JY

27-11-2008

Walthamstow market is ace!
It’s the longest streetmarket in Europe, spanning over a mile!

Saturday’s are the best days, lots of fruit and veg to be had. They sell the fruit and veg in bowls at a £1 a bowl!!!

Lots of shops selling foods from around the world at bargain prices! and quite a few pound stores as well.

There is a great Greek bakery half way down the high street

You can get there either by tube Walthamstow central, or the overland from Liverpool street jumping off at St James street or Walthamstow.

ho's bakerly - Manchester

46 Faulkner Street, Manchester, Greater Manchester M1 4FH

Bubble tea!!! It’s one of only 3 places (that I know of) in the UK where you can get bubble tea. A whole menu of different flavours too!

And a great selection of chinese cakes.

You can eat in or takeaway - both the food and the tea
