nun habe ich endlich mal bei schoenem wetter ein plaetzchen im hatari ergattert und wollte doch mal sehen, ob die burger auch wirklich sooo gut sind, wie ich immer hoerte. also ehrlich, da sind die burger von MD noch besser!!
meiner war 1. so gut wie kalt, das brot war STEINHART und die pommes hatten ihre besten zeiten wohl schon einmal erlebt!
tja herrschaften, ausser den relativ zivilen preisen und der tatsache, dass man auch kleine burger (war das mein pech vielleicht??) bestellen kann, erklaert euch dies leider nicht zu einem meiner favourite places in der schanze :-(

the harbour house is def one of my new favourite spots for great fish food with an awesome view! the staff is really observant and very friendly and the atmosphere is just great! be sure to make a reservation in time!

i've been to the langi langi three times during my stay in nungwi and was so interested doing a cooking class. unfortunately the chef was busy travelling so i just tried the food for dinner instead. i choosed twice a fish dish from the special card and once i almost burned my mouth due to the very spicy and hot sauce on the fish, which wasnt supposed to be that hot!
anyways, the choice is big and the quality of the food is really good. the staff is friendly but sometimes a bit slow....but just think about the zanzibarian quote " POLE POLE " :-) I WILL DEF BE BACK and cant wait to do the cooking class then ;-)

i came to the flame tree cottages due to the short distance from my guesthouse and i was happy finding it. i tried the delicious spanish omelette for breakfast and several dishes for dinner as well. the beautiful spot directly on the beach of nungwi is just perfect for either a romantic candlelight dinner, a friends table or even for one person like me ;-)
the food was really good and the staff very kind. just one thing i'm complaing about are the restrooms, they are not very nice and clean and the soap was always missed. but anyway i'm sure, i will be back!

the wave's restaurant is a nice but quite simple place directly located in the beautiful beach of nungwi - close to the flame tree cottages and smileys guesthouse. the food is good and ok but not spectacular. i tried the sandwiches for a late breakfast and was a bit disappointed of the "boring" toast and less flavour. and be aware, if you travel as a woman on your own, the staff is very flirtatious ;-)

this hostel is located in penhill, which is very close to central auckland in approx 12 mins walk or just 5 mins by bus.
the hostel is very famous for travellers of all ages. a cosy and clean place with a nice, spacious kitchen, free coffee and tea, lounge area(s), internet facilities, mixed and female dorms available as well as private rooms. also airport transfer is provided and the owner IAN has always an open ear, if you need any advice, tour recommendations, etc.
most of the travellers moved from the hostels in downtown auckland to the city garden lodge, because its more quiet, clean and with reasonable prizes. i would always go back here. but make sure to book in advance :-)

lucky me, that the red moon was just a few steps away from my hotel. right from the beginning i felt like a friend and njoyed lots of nice and cosy evenings.
you will find a great selection of food, deserts and drinks and the owners will definitaly recognize you by name :-)
now and the a band will please you with nice live music and funtastic mood. dont feel shy to dance, you are surely welcome to njoy every single minute at the red moon!

a great place to chill close to the beach on waiheke island! njoy a yummy piece of cake and coffee or a fantastic NZ white wine with delicious food, while watching the naughty seagulls bothering the tourists ;-)
the staff is a bit slooowly, but thats maybe just because all " waihekian's " aren't in a rush but like that they always keep their smile. i felt very comfortable at charlies, although i was on my own.
it was recommended to my by a local "kiwi" and if i could i would invite him to a glass of wine to THANK YOU for telling me buddy ;-)

na das war ja mal ein leckerer mittagstisch!

nachdem man uns dann auch nach etwas wartezeit endlich einlass gewährte, war der "schnelle teller" eine perfekte wahl! in der tat ging es ziemlich zackig ;-) der service ist äußerst bemüht, sehr freundlich und wirklich aufmerksam und das 3-gänge menue wurde bis zum letzten happen verputzt und durchaus für schmackhaft befunden!! nicht zu viel-nicht zu wenig und alles für 10,90€ - ein wirklich guter preis!

das ambiente ist top, sehr hell, freundlich und stilvoll eingerichtet. es empfiehlt sich eine reservierung, man KANN aber mittags auch mal so glück haben. abends könnte es allerdings eng werden und wer sicher gehen möchte, schenkt dem team des slowman einen anruf :-)

ich werde definitiv wieder dort einkehren und vielleicht mal abends schauen, was das team weiterhin zu bieten hat. daumen hoch herrschaften, ein prima projekt und 1a umgesetzt!

ich war erst letzte woche bei STA in der schanze und bin schier begeistert!!
ich hatte ein für mich recht anspruchsvolles anliegen, also eine wirklich umfangreiche reise-anfrage ;-) und wurde wirklich EXTREM geduldig, super freundlich und vor allem kompetent von jacqueline beraten :-)
ich werde hier mit sicherheit meinen trip buchen und auch vor allem nur zu gerne meine freunde dorthin schicken, denn da ist man mit sicherheit in guten händen.
