You just can’t describe this place. I was sick and tired of sightseeing the days I was in Kyoto, and it was pouring down nonstop, I just couldn’t take it anymore and actually planned to skip Fushimi Inari.
But then something happened… I had an amazing meal at a little restaurant in the neighbourhood (if you’re there, look for it, it’s on the same street as the train station, left side when you follow the street north.)
After that meal I went up to the shrine, and walked it in the dark. (yep, it was completely black outside, was the scariest thing I did in my life, but so worth it. Do it!!
