I’m Greek and this was fantastic. Very close to the original tastes. I was sure that the meats were not british (no offence guys but the meat here is not very good). However I asked and it turns out that, well, it’s all in the cooking. I had the μεζέ(meze) menu for 18.75 which was a selection of cold and hot plates, more or less like Spanish tapas -well as a concept that is. We also ordered a bottle of Moschofilero, which is a Greek white wine from Peloponnese with strong taste. This was at around 17 pounds. The service was the best that I have seen in London. At last somewhere where the tables are cleaned , not only after you leave but even when the courses are changed. They were also blazing fast at bringing our plates. One complain, which is the reason the fifth star could be missing. We were told that we had two hours to eat. Reasonable and it was in a very polite tone, still I didn’t like it.

All in all, highly recommended but book a table to avoid disappointment or a long queue.

Ok, this is probably the first proper Spanish restaurant that I go to. I have been twice to this place and I quite like it. The restaurant has a selection of tapas at about 5-8 pounds and various Paelias. All the tapas we ordered were very tasty. I must add to that, that some of them contained raw ingredients - such as prosciutto. I consider their taste indicative of the overall quality of the ingredients used in the restaurant. Both times I had the seafood Paelia with lobster which was fantastic. Also I loved the Catalan bread, even though its nothing more than bread with tomato. We had sangria, a red wine punch at around 17 pounds per pitcher - which for sangria felt a bit much. The service is very polite, however not always available and not the fastest you have ever came across. The place is also very clean.

I went to that place on a Saturday night. I arrived at about 10:30 and the place was completely packed, both at its lovely terrace and inside. There is no music outside (I suppose it’s not allowed to) and the volume of the music inside was low. I liked the music and the place in general. The only problem is that they have a serious staffing problem, as we waited for about half an hour in-front of the bar to get served - with the three bartenders trying madly to cope with the orders. Of course don’t even think of someone cleaning the tables…
On the other hand there are reasons why this place is so popular. Lovely terrace, nice music - in a volume level that you can actually chat with your company.

P.S. The selection of beers it’s also not very good - they had about 4-5 drafts and no Guinness (grr…:)

One of the nicest bars in London. Fantastic bar, great atmosphere and music. A wide choice of cocktails. If you are into laid-back places with strong character, you should definitely visit this.
