After being turned away from a half empty poorly run Viva Latina(was Viva Cuba Woodhouse Ln) myself and better half took a slow walk down to La Vina, and with it being Vals day and also not having a booking I was expecting to be turned away, on entering I realised this place was very busy but was met by a very friendly hostess, I told her that I hadn’t a booking and she told me that was not a problem if I was willing to wait, the atmosphere was great and everyone was enjoying themselves, we wait around 50 mins but it was well worth the wait, our waitning staff were friendly and quick and you did not feel rushed at all, the food was fresh, cooked perfectly to order and mouth watering. I would highly recommend this place to anybody and will be going back in the future.

This place has now changed it’s name to Viva Latina but according to the girl behind the bar it is still owned by the same company who have Viva Cuba in Kirkstall.
Where do I start, all set for great food and a great night in Viva Cuba who never take bookings as it’s a first come first served policy, I was amazed to it’s name change, on entering the place wasnt even half full at 8.30pm on Vals day, the barstaff took ages to serve me then when I asked for a table the duty manager told me they where full and that I needed a booking, looking around to see that half the tables was empty and the atmosphere was dull, on leaving a lady was argueing with the manager as he had let another couple push in front of this lady who had been waiting along time and was promised a table, this is no longer an authentic tapas bar but instead a farce which is badly run and in my eyes will not last much longer this way.
