I’ve used the TP for many years when working down in that part of Sussex on home visits.
It’s a bit of an Aladin’s cave. You have to look carefully for what you want and avoid thinking you need to stock up on everything they’ve got! Likewise for the sell-by labels but if you buy knowing you’ll use things up fairly soon, it gives you great value every visit.
You do have to weave your way around the shelf-fillers, but they and the checkout staff are always cheerful and helpful.
Now that I’ve retired I still make the trip every 6 weeks or so and the petrol costs are far outweighed by the bargains to be had.
Oh dear, I shouldn’t have told you all this, wouldn’t do for it to become too popular!
