A really unique cave for its geological value, which shows the biggest concentration of helictite formations in the world.
It has been set for tourists now unfortunately, so some of its authenticity has been slightly lost, with the big restaurant on the outside etc.
However, it still retains some of its magic as you go in boarding a mining train, like the ones used at the time in which the cave was used as a mine.
After a few minutes you get off the train, and have a short walk through some old mining galleries, which will lead you to the chamber called Galeria Gorda (Big or Fat Gallery). This is a 1h visit that is suitable for anyone.
But if you would like something more interesting, there is another option, which last more than 2 hours and will involve going through narrow spaces, sometimes crawling through the floor, while the way is being lit by your light on your safety helmet. A bit more adventurous :)
