Waitrose - Moorgate

Cherry Tree Walk, Old Street, London EC1Y 8NX

Nice shopping experience and the staff at the tills are always polite.

Waitrose - Bloomsbury

Brunswick Centre, Bloomsbury, London WC1N 1AF

A big store but the customer-service needs improvement. Especially the small tills at the exit. It's a hit or miss sometimes if staff cares about your custom or not.

Aldi - Tottenham

570 High Road, London N17 9TA

12-11-2012

Discount supermarket with limited choice and everything you buy is their own brand. If you care less about the environment go there. It's cheap but not really worth it, for discounts I would recommend Iceland.

AbelOT I hear what you are saying

I take advantage of the super six offers

Good luck

Nando's Chickenland - Stratford

1a Romford Road, London E15 4LJ

31-10-2012

Standard chicken food and for the price you pay for it, it's not worth it. It seems to be pretty popular. Me and a friend wasn't so impressed though.

Westfield Stratford City - Marylebone

2 Stratford Place, Montfichet Road, London E20 1EJ

Another soulless uninspiring shopping mall. The only good thing about is that it’s more compact then Westfield Shepherd’s Bush. You can also avoid most of the shopping centre if you only are headed for the Waitrose/John Lewis/Great Eastern Market by taking the DLR to Stratford International.

The rest of the shopping mall is as uninspiring as these kind of places tend to be. Some of the shops are smaller than your average shop on the high street. The restaurants in the mall area too noisy. If you want a quiet meal, this is not the place. For food take the tube into central London. A characterless shopping-mall that fills it’s purpose..but not much more.

If you love chains go there, if you love places with atmosphere go somewhere else.

shitakemushroom Yes it has all the usual high street shops, but they are all under one roof, and it works out cheaper to go here for the locals. I know residents for whom travelling to Central London works out to be quite expensive, so it is a good option for a lot of people. As for it being soulless, who cares? It’s not like you are going to live there. You are just going out to buy stuff, and for most people that would be an occasional trip. The local shopping facilities in this part of London are poorer than this centre, so overall, it is OK I think

philios1 You probably have a point. I go there weekdays nowadays with less people.

HMV UK - Stratford

Unit 3 The Mall Stratford Centre, London E15 1XA

I think this shop have deteriorated since it moved to Westfield. It's small and claustrophobic these days. I also think the selection of DVD's are not as good as it used to be. Avoid this one.

Stratford Centre - Stratford

54A The Broadway, Stratford, Stratford, London E15 1NG

A tired shoppingcentre that needs a revamp. I only go there for Holland&Barrett and Sainsbury's (which is one of the worst I been to). The building itself is horrible and should be demolished and replaced by something more attractive.
Very Important Qyper medal for bexb-d

bexb-d It’s been upgraded a bit, but Westfield just dominates it! I don’t think it’ll last!

Starbucks - Mayfair

27 Berkeley Street, Mayfair, London W1J 6HN

18-04-2012

At Starbucks I drank the worst caffe latte ever! Starbucks is the worst coffee-chain with no character. The other ones can make coffee: Starbucks can’t and their name is so Yesterday!

Tesco Express - Embankment

Charing Cross, London SW1A 2DR

20-02-2012

Total horrible..the tiniest Express I ever been to and they have absolutely nothing on the shelves. If I could give it zero marks I would!

Kipferl - Islington

20 Camden Passage, London N1 8ED

09-09-2011

I visited Kipferl some weeks ago and I liked it! Not like a viennesse coffee house but still good. I ordered a apfelstrudel and tea. Both really good. The staff was friendly and on my way out I bought a bottle of wine and Mozartkugeln. For me its good that they are so near there I live so I will certainly go back! And I can speak German with them which is good and also makes it feels like I’m back in Austria.
