Independant tile shop. They have a good range on display and many different styles from run of the mill syuff to glass/mosaic and trendy designs. They have been so helpful with my order, they were happy to get a sample for me, order a specific number of tiles rather than having to buy whole boxes. They were also really helpful with advice and recommending a tiler if I needed one.

Great range of bedding, pillows, quilts, towels, general soft furnishing. They have a fabric department, sell blinds, occasional tables, storage, cookware, small kitchen appliances, pictures, light fittings, pet beds, candles….I’ve tried to do a bit of a mental walk through to come up with this lst. I’m sure I’ve missed something out !! The store has an ample car park. They seem to sell goods that meet a variety of price ranges. Their occasional tables are really nice and chunky…a bit like you’d see at Pier stores. Well worth a trip

Real pub, real ale, real chunky doorstep sandwiches. This pub doesn’t put on any airs or graces. It let the food and beer speak for itself. It has a pool table area in one side and 'snug’ area in the other. Gets very busy on a lunchtime as local office workers have heard about the doorstep sandwiches. They are awesome. I’ve never been in an evening or on a weekend day, but I understand it gets busy on football match days. well worth a visit

Dick Hudsons - Bingley

This has haeld a good reputation for years as a great pub for good food. As a result it’s a busy place. It’s in a lovely setting on the road over the top from Bingley/Hawksworth to East Morton/Keighley and offers a great views of the valley below. It’s old rustic style with open wood burning fires is very welcoming. You find a table, peruse the menu and order at the bar. They have a great selection to suit everyone.

daisymaybuckley Yes I agree with the above it's a regular haunt with my daughter too.

Yeadon Tarn - Yeadon

This is a lovely tarn (big pond/small lake to those who don’t know what a tarn is :) ) It has a good solid pathway all the way round, ideal for pushchairs. The pathway is just set off from the waters edge with grass to the outer edge of the pathway. Small boats can sometimes be seen on the water. It’s also a great place to feed the ducks. There’s a childrens play area at the 'boathouse’ side of the tarn (there’s sometimes an icecream van around here too)and a skateboard/bike ramp area on the other side of the tarn. You can see the planes as they takeoff/land at the airport nearby, but don’t worry, I don’t feel that the noise from this adversley affects the peace and beauty of this area. There aren’t any other facilities, but Yeadon High Street is a 5-10 min walk away

daisymaybuckley The Tarn is a really nice place to go on any sunny day, it's pretty and pleasant and if you are a fisherman then it's a great place to fish also. Just nice to go on your own or take the family, if you like to watch the planes come in then Leeds Bradford Airpost is just up the road and inbetween the two is Murgatroyds fish and chip restraunt!

Reasonably priced 'department store’ stocking a fair range of non branded clothes. A great place for bargain summer tops etc. as opposed to high quality keep for ever clothing. They have a good range of clothing for men, women and children. About 1/3 of the store has household/kitchen/bedroom goods e.g. towels, pots, pans, luggage etc. Gets busy so expect to queue for the tills

daisymaybuckley Nice sized store with plenty of choices what ever departemnt you need.

The Bombay Stores - Bradford

Wow what an Alladin’s cave. There is such a range of colours and materials here along with rugs and ready to wear saris/suits. They have a kitchen/food department and shoes. It’s a great place to browse around for colour ideas. I find it’s one of those places where you go for one specific item and find yourself laden down with beautiful bargains before you know it. The staff are ususally very helpful and organised. If you can’t see what you’re after, just ask.

Zaara's Restaurant - Shipley

36a Bradford Road, Shipley, West Yorkshire BD18 3NT

This is a relatively new Indian restaurant. They offer what you would expect from a good Indian - a wide range of curries with chicken, meat or veggie. They have good offers on Mon/Tues two for one which is a bargain. It’s a lovely restaurant which is well furnished. My partner, who doesn’t usually like curries (not due to the hotness, but cos of some of the seasoning/herbs) loved it here. She had the LAmb kebaabs and chicken jalfrezi which she said where lovely and spicy but didn’t have the flavours that she dislikes!!

BIBIS RESTAURANT - Leeds

Criterion Place, Off Sovereign Street, Leeds, West Yorkshire LS1 5RU

I’ve mainly been here as part of a working lunch rather than evening meal. It is quite busy during lunch times as well as evenings. I love the feel of this place, very classy and glossy. I’ve seen other restaurants that aren’t as well fitted as the toilets here!! The food is lovely, the pizzas have a light thin crispy base and the toppings are fresh and tasty. My freinds/colleagues have had the fish, past and steaks, all commenting on how nice they are. Leave room for dessert as they are very scrummy too. Downside - no parking so have to use paying car-parks near by. Well worth it for a treat as it’s not cheap

daisymaybuckley Bibis is a lovely place for lunch or dinner but is quite expensive.

Greens Health & Fitness - Shipley

This is a well serviced gym offering a good range of macines as well as free weights. There are a good supply of running/cross trainers and bikes etc so there is generally no issue with waiting for machines. They have a women section which is a smaller room for ladies who prefer to be away from the main area. The gym offers 2 studios where the have a good programme of classes. The pool, sauna, spa and steam room are a must after a hard session in the gym. You can they put all that good work o ruin by have a fattey latte in the cafe afterwards. Only downside is that they have reduced the opening hours of the cafe.
