Tucked away in a little unassuming corner in one of Cape Town’s leafy, upper-class suburbs is the little Borruso’s pizzeria. Quite simply put by many of it’s faithful, “The best pizza in Cape Town.” And sampling some of their pizza it seems likely that they can definitely claim this honour. Borruso’s is a rustic restaurant in tree canopied surroundings with no flash advertisements or neon lights, so much so that one often has to be told about it rather than stumbling upon it on one’s own. It feels as if you are stepping into a little part of Italy within the confines of the great Mother City as the atmosphere and fierce Italian passion is tangible in the air along with the enticing and delectable garlic and herb aromas. All in all, exceptionally professional service, reasonable pricing and an incredible vibe make Borruso’s worth every penny.
