I just came in here to see if they could sort out a jacket for my Father.

He bought a very (very!!) expensive handmade suede jacket about a year ago, but the sleeves had all frayed plus they had stretched since the materials it is made from are so fine.
So we dropped the jacket off at 1pm yesterday and as promised it was all fixed and sorted by midday today. The stitching used for the repair is almost invisible but also perfectly matches the stitching for the rest of the jacket.
So in/out chop, trim, sew: Good as new for €18 all in. Which is a fraction of the cost of the jacket in the first place.
My Father is very pleased with his 'new' jacket!

I come here a couple of times a week for lunch during work. There is a good selection of food vendors with cheap tasty food.

My current favourite is the Indian Curry place - they usually have a choice of 4 curries (including Vegetarian) which come with Pilau rice, salad and yogurt sauce, all for about €6.
Cheap, quick and tasty. -

So I have had some good Italian meals and last night we came here as a work group and some visitors from out of town. This experience was pretty special.

We all went for the taster menu and the whole thing was just fantastic.
15 year old super viscous Balsamic vinegar, extra first pressed Sicilian olive oil, angel hair spaghetti with truffles, carpaccio of smoked tunafish, melt in the mouth Tiramisu great wine, and really good service.
A really good place to enjoy incredible Sicilian Italian food outside on a warm evening. Not the cheapest, but one of the best. -

Nice. I have just been for my first visit having been brought here by my wife who visits a lot with friends.
Very nice food, friendly service in German and English and a well priced lunch menu. We sat on a table looking out towards Rathaus; nice pleasant and will come along again another time.

HUUUGE electrical store right by the Main Central Station in Hamburg. If you want branded goods at OK prices, whilst fighting through massive crowds then this will be heaven for you.
If you like the cheapest prices, online then it won’t

Nice, busy and in the main shopping strip of Hamburg’s Monkeburgstraße. A big fish and chip place, really. Good for Hamburg, but not a patch on your good old beer battered Cod n Chips from back home in Britain.

One of the best bars in the world? Perhaps. The best bar in Hamburg? Probably. A great place for a late drink? Definitely.
Super friendly and professional staff serving eye wateringly strong and pricey cocktails. Amazing olives, lovely decoration, good company.
Always best when someone else is paying though!

Really nice bar for after work drinks plus I have been here for a couple of relaxed coffee meetings when Starbucks isn’t the kind of place to meet – or the Qype meeting rooms are all full!
The service is discreet and efficient. The drinks are served with a smile and just the right amount of attention. It’s also never really too busy.
Of course a bar like this isn’t cheap, considering it’s in a 5 star hotel. However you do get what you pay for.
