Puerto Madero - Buenos Aires

Definitely, the most modern, picturesque and safe neighbourhood of BA.

You will not only have a great time during the day and afternoon, but also at night. Glamorous walks alongside the docks, meals with the moon reflected on the water, or why not fun with friends at a disco.

Personally, it is my preferred place to go on date or to spend a say with family or friends. There are a wide range of restaurants, pubs and discotheques. You can also get to the movies in Puerto Madero.

Visit the 'Fragata Sarmiento’, an spectacular frigate you can visit from stern to bow!

My favourite places there: Hilton, TGI Friday’s, La Parolaccia and La Bistecca.

On the side near the river, you can walk in a brand new neighbourhood, the new Buenos Aires. HUGE buildings (+60 stories), and classical apartments which keep the original structure of the former port.

Great place, full of tourist, lovely to take photos, go running, walking, have a meal in a bench or simply sit there and breathe silence in the middle of the crowded BA.

La Recoleta cemetery - Buenos Aires

Interesting to visit if you are in the neighbourhood of Recoleta (one of the most posh of BA).
You will be able to see the tombs of very important people, such as Eva Peron, Luis Federico Leloir (Nobel), writers like José Hernández, Miguel Cané, Victoria Ocampo, Adolfo Bioy Casares, doctors like Cosme Argerich and Francisco Muñiz, or the body of María Marta García Belsunce, of the famous crime case of the latest years.

If you like art, this is a great chance to appreciate huge sculptures and amazing marble tombs. Also, you will see many vitraux, and metal handworks.

It is a very nice place to visit on a Saturday or Sunday.
There are artist painting landscapes or portraits (ie. you can get your own portrait painted there).
Also, you can enjoy yourself with Tango. Bands playing live and professional couples dancing.
Regarding food, you can have some standing meals or get into one of the many restaurants in the area.
It is a good postcard of Buenos Aires.
