Do not use this place. My experience was a complete disaster. One night cost me £200. I stayed for one night in Feb this year on business. I needed to leave at 8.00 am but no one was in the pub from 7.00 to 8.00 either to give me breakfast as requested, or take my payment. In the kerfuffle of trying to pay someone and leave on time for my appointment I left a pair of trousers worth £150 in my room. They have admitted they still have them but have refused to send them to me even though I have offered to send a fully postage paid, self-addressed envelope to facilitate this. I had the decency to ring at lunchtime the same day I left to pay my £45 bill even though I could have left without paying. They have not had the decency to return my trousers for 11 months.
Also, I chose this pub because they were supposedly dog friendly. I had two small dogs with me. This pub is not dog friendly. The dogs are not allowed anywhere on the premises except your room and the grounds have no safe place to let them run. Everything outside is open to the busy village road.
This is a disaster location if you are on business or have dogs or both and I seriously recommend that you don’t use it if you are staying overnight. And the food is very average pub grub too.
I still await my trousers.
