I used eventelephant as a ticket provider. Firstly as a ticket site I was really happy and once I realised that if I used my Paypal acc as a merchant service had no proble getting my ticket payments. Problem is my first lot of ticket sales Aprox £115 were taken on there merchant Service.
44 Days since event I am still waiting for the money and have been given loads of excuses each day that due to charge backs they are unable to pay me back the money.
My event was a one of School Reunion and I am out of pocket. After reading these posts it appears I am not the only one in this position. My advice to anybody is use the paypal merchant services but avoid there service for payment at all costs.

28/11/2012 After the threat of Watchdog and various other organisations I can confirm that I have now been PAID

IvorTheEngine Gosh, that was good of them, “as a gesture of good will” paying you your money that they had been holding onto. We are over a year trying to extract ~£10k of our money from this shower. Apparently being threatened with exposure is about the only thing that seems to work, must give it go!

jenntufts02 Glenlia – are you going ahead with the legal action? I work with one of the largest charities in the UK and we are most likely also going to pursue legal action against Event Elephant. They cannot tell us where our money is or when we will receive it. They are only witholding a comparatively small amount (next to your 50k!) but the level of funds doesn’t matter.
