Brighton is absolutely packed with budget Italian dining establishments, and Leonardo is no different. At certain time you can get certain pastas and pizzas for £2.99, obviously the quality is reflected but you cant too wrong with Italian cuisine. Great for large families and the place is usually full of them so maybe not the most romantic place for a date.

In a city that’s full of ethnic dining establishments its refreshing to have a restaurant serving such an unusual cuisine as Ski Lankan. Its can be found a little of the beaten track in hove, down a side street off of Church Road and is s must for any foodies in the area. It’s a difficult cuisine to describe but if you like Thai and or Indian than your sure to enjoy Moonstone. It’s definitely worth a trip out of the centre of town to enjoy an authentic cuisine so rarely available in the UK.

China Hins is an authentic Chinese restaurant and takeaway in central Hove. They offer an all you can eat buffet which at £17 is not cheap, but demonstrates the quality ad authenticity of their food. Having only ever eaten takeaway food I can’t comment of the venue itself. The takeaway was one of the best I've had in Brighton, the dishes were all a cut above anything else I’ve had and I was more than happy to pay a little more for the privilege.

Great central Hove location, you cant really go wrong with Italian and Orsino doesn’t disappoint. You can get some bargains with their set menu...last time I went it was £8.95 for 3 gorgeous courses. This establishment is going for the slightly higher end of the market, which makes a change from all the budget £4 a pizza joints that the city is full of! Perfect for dates as well as family dinners.

Marrocco’s is a real find and once you've tried it you'll go back every summer. It’s an awesome proper Italian ice cram parlor, serving proper Italiano ice cream! Its also conveniently situated on Hove seafront slightly out of way of the masses, I often stop off there when promenading in the sunshine!

Burger Off is home to the infamous 'hottest burger in the world' which, legend has it, you have to sign a legal document before you attempt to eat! It’s an excellent marketing ploy as most times I’ve been there thee has been a drunken loon enquiring about the beastly thing! It’s also a good little burger bar nearish to an array of Hove pubs, great for filling a hole after copious after work beverages.

The Bali Brasserie is a really unique venue. Raking inspiration from its name the venue is decorated with a tropical and luxurious theme, with tropical plants and emerald colored features as well as the 'longest bar in Brighton' (at 45 feet). The bar is on the seafront and open late so maybe worth stumbling to if you keep hearing last orders. The food is Malaysian cuisine and absolutely fab.

Topolino have refreshingly seasonal menu, which makes difference as a lot of Brighton Italians that seem to have had the same enormous menu year after year. The fab feature of this restaurant is the garden room, which allows patrons to seat in the covered outside garden area during the summer months. It has a lot of competition as Brighton seems to have an Italian on every corner but Topolinos is easily one of the best Italiano meals I've had here.

The Eclipse is very much a community pub for local resident of the Poet’s Corner area on Hove. It’s a large pub with a main section and saloon area. It has an array of real ales for the people who like a 'proper' drink, including local favourite Harvey’s. It has a very traditional decor and friendly atmosphere, its maybe not worth tracking out to but deffo worth a stop in your in the area, a great local pub to have nearby

Local favorite, Ethel's Kitchen is located in central Hove and although on a busy main road is still very homely and cute. They offer all the usual caf dishes like sandwiches, traditional brit mains and a fantastic Full English. They also do a great Sunday Roast if you dont fancy a pub atmosphere with your meat and two veg.
