McDonald's Restaurants - Norwich

18 Haymarket, Norwich, Norfolk NR2 1QJ

27-01-2009

I had to wait in the queue for 30mins the other day. There were 9 tills and only 2 were staffed. Everyone else seemed to be emptying bins and refilled the ketchup dispenser. This is not fast food. I did write to complain but havent heard back I believe this is a franchaised branch of Mcdonalds and not so hot on great customer service.

Service Service Recruitment Agency - Norwich

8-10 Bank Street, Norwich, Norfolk NR2 4SE

27-01-2009

I have been registered with this agency since July 2007 and so far they havent placed me. Ive had interviews through them but no luck. I had to constantly chase them and apply for jobs via their website even though they I believe should have been contacting me. The staff are knowledgeable and courteous but not doing the required job. I would register with a larger recruitment agency next time.

the british heart foundation - Norwich

London Street, Norwich, Norfolk NR99 1AX

The shop is in the city centre on london street next to bank plain. The shop has good finds and often specialises in new things. I recently purchased some shabby chic homeware which was get value for money and brand new with the tags on. The shoes that come in are brilliant quality. I guess like all charity shops you have to browse thoroughly. The staff are very helpful and very deserved of a tip as they are volunteers.

East Anglian Childrens Hospice - Long Stratton

Norwich, Norfolk NR15 2PY

27-01-2009

A local charity shop for a brilliant and worthy cause. This shop has lots of hidden gems and has lots of range in and often. The clothes range from occasional good finds of Burberry to Coast and of course the usual offcasts of primark and M&S. The shop is open 6 days a week and the clothes washed, ironed and good value. The staff are most helpful and offer a reserve service.

Caley's - Norwich

Gaol Hill, The Guildhall, Norwich, Norfolk NR2 1JS

27-01-2009

I have been here at least the last 4 saturdays on the trot with various friends of all ages. Its perfect for cream teas or hot chocolates, try hot choc and marshmallows. The staff take your order and you pay at the end. Its the best place in norwich to go for a bite to eat. You can buy a huge assortment of fudges and chocs at the chilled counter all of which of course is Caleys. Only down side is they are not open long enough into the evening.

the adam and eve - Norwich

Bishopgate, Norwich, Norfolk NR3 1RZ

This pub is a real find and so quaint. It dates back to 1249. There is a ghost walk that operated from outside the pub also which is brilliant. The food and hospitality is brilliant the prices are average pub prices. Food is scampi, pate, soups etc nothing ala carte jsut hearty warm grub. The owners are most friendly and the selection of real ales is very good.

Thorpewood Medical Practice - Norwich

Heartsease, Norwich, Norfolk NR7 9QL

27-01-2009

The practice is located approx 2 miles from Norwich train station. I have been seeing Dr Green for many years and she is wonderful. The receptionists sit in a conservatory type room with lots of foliage so most welcoming. There are plenty of seats and parking and the chemist is situated right next door. A lovely practice.

Wickes Building Supplies - Norwich

36-50 Drayton Road, Norwich, Norfolk NR3 2DW

27-01-2009

Stocks and caters for all requirements from floor tiles to wall hangings. The store is very well stocked with a variety of bits for the home and garden. Always plenty of staff on hand on the shop floor. Well run.

R E Thorns & Co - Norwich

22 Exchange Street, Norwich, Norfolk NR2 1AT

27-01-2009

I think this is jsut what norwich needs, a nicely run small DIY/ironmongers. The store is over 2 levels and holds everything from letter boxes to hack saws. The gentlemen in store behind the desks are uniformed and very helpful. Located within 5 mins walk from the bus station.

Wagamama - Norwich

118 Chapelfield, Norwich, Norfolk NR2 1SU

Great eatery and often go in here early evening. The staff are very quick even though service practise seems a bit muddled and fussy. The food is superb and the range is brilliant. A good variety and a fair price. Worth registering online with them for special offers too.
