Nice position off seafront but disappointing as its not at all friendly. Reminds me of the bar in American Werewolf in London. Local pub for local people.

A couple of people I know have emailed details of their vinyl and have never received an acknowledgement or reply.

Mostly regulars at the cafe near the seafront. I ordered a tea and cheese roll which came to £3.20. The roll was a tesco burger bap (cost about 2p) and it was awful. "counter service only" I was told abruptly when my order was ready. Strangely enough the regulars are served at their tables. £2.50 for a cheese roll - I don't think so.

Expensive wine bar. Lager at £4 a pint - me thinks not.

This place has gone down hill. Staff are indifferent and a bunch of kids at the bar having a conversation full of four letter words. Considering women and children were present the staff should have warned them. Of course they didn't. At these prices I would expect the wine list to not be completely out of stock (as was the case). Will find somewhere else more welcoming.

Understaffed and unpleasant bar opposite central railway station. The staff are badly trained and it can take 20 minutes to be served. Not a particularly nice crowd and no atmosphere.

A nice local post office. The manager and her husband are really helpful, and very efficient. A credit to the Post Office.

I agree with Kid2000. Every time I have used this post office the staff have been dreadfully rude and unpleasant. I even got told off for filling in a "proof of posting" slip. I now avoid the place. If the government are planning to close small sub-offices, they should include this one. They don't deserve the custom.

This place is really hit and miss. When I started visiting it was always very good. However changes of owndership and staff sometimes mean the fish has been cooked and left in the warming oven to go really dry. Friendly enough but you can never be sure if it will be a "good" day or a "bad" one.

This small local newsagents cum grocer should be the epitome of a local friendly independent. It isn't. Staff are rude to indifferent, particularly to new faces and often items are priced incorrectly and you are charged extra at the counter. This place needs staff who are friendly or welcoming. I now use the convenience store Mace round the corner. At least the stall smile and say "thank you".
