Stayed in this B&B for two nights last summer and had a wonderful stay. The house is fairly isolated, but it’s not far to the nearest big town to get meals etc. The hosts are really friendly are welcoming and were very helpful. They provided a good travel cot for our baby, and didn’t complain once about the all-night screaming he treated us to. They provided a superb cooked breakfast, and a lounge with a roaring fire and some board games. They also had lots of maps which they lent us for exploring Snowdonia, and were able to advise us on which routes would be best, and what other walks would be pleasant. Rooms aren’t all ensuite. Great stay at a great rate, would certainly stay again.

J'ai passé deux nuits dans ce bed-and-breakfast l'été dernier et mon séjour a été excellent. La maison est un peu à l'écart mais elle n'est pas trop loin de la ville la plus proche et de ses restaurants, etc. Les hôtes sont vraiment accueillants et aimables et ont été très serviables. Ils nous ont fourni un petit lit pour notre bébé et ne se sont pas plaints quand il a crié pendant toute la nuit. Ils ont préparé un excellent petit déjeuner et il y avait un salon avec une cheminée et des jeux de société. Ils nous ont aussi prêté des cartes pour exploser Snowdonia et ont pu nous donner des conseils sur les itinéraires de randonnée et les balades à faire dans les alentours. Les chambres n'ont pas leur propre salle de bains. C'était un très bon séjour pour un très bon prix, et nous y reviendrons volontiers.

This place is tucked out of the way, not on a main shopping street, so you’re not likely to stumble across it unless you make the effort. It is worth going to though, as they do a good range of fruit and vegetables at a very good price - you can make substantial savings on supermarket stuff. Obviously their stock varies according to season quite a bit, so you are better off browsing than having set ideas on what you want to get (beyond the basics). The quality is variable, but you can choose for yourself rather than having to buy polythene bags full of stuff. It seems to keep pretty well too. Traditional greengrocers, worth making a detour off the Parade for.

As a chain coffee shop, you know what to expect on the menu - standard overpriced coffees (although their seasonal 'gingerbread latte’ is particularly delicious). This outlet is fairly small, but it’s still nagivable by pushchair - I wouldn’t try to get more than 2 of you at a table inside though, so if you want to make a mum’s meeting, best go elsewhere, or sit in the courtyard style bit in the mall. This bit is just inside the main doors to the mall though, so it can get a bit chilly. The staff are helpful and willing to carry trays for you if you’re struggling to manage drinks and babies, so it’s a good location for a recharge.

I recently attended a friend’s wedding here. It was a very unusual location for a wedding, but it worked really well. As a guest, I was sitting in front of the bride and groom, so I could see their faces throughout the ceremony, which was really nice. The reception was upstairs, which made travelling really easy! It was a bit cramped for the number of people, but I guess that made it friendly. The food was really really tasty. Afterwards, we had the bar downstairs open with a dancefloor and a disco. it was seamless to move between the different parts of their big day, and a very friendly, interesting and relaxed (yet still upmarket feeling) way to celebrate a wedding.

Now just 'Hawkesford’, but still a family business. This is our number one choice of estate agents in Leamington. We have recently had agents from Hawkesford round to value our house both for rental and sale. They arrived in good time, which is a good start! Both agents seemed friendly yet professional. Most important of all, they seemed honest. In today’s market, this might mean disappointing news, but they were brave enough to give this frankly and openly, which makes for a promising start to negotiations and means I have more trust in this agency than those who hide bad news under promises they can’t keep. On the other side of things, as a buyer we found this agency to be good at keeping appointments and helpful during negotiation.

We asked Wiglesworth to value our flat with a view to selling, and they failed to keep the appointment. They called later in the day to say they’d 'put it in the wrong part of their diary’, an excuse which sounds plausible enough until you’ve heard it from estate agents a dozen times. If they can’t keep an appointment to see me, I don’t trust them to keep appointments with potential buyers and will therefore not be selling through them. Diary management seems to me a rather key aspect of being an estate agent and if they can’t even do that, I have no trust in them as a seller at all. Waste of time.

This dental practice is excellent. I managed to register with them and get my first appointment within a few days, and I’ve never had to wait long to see somebody since. The dentist I see is incredibly young, but he really seems to know what he is talking about. He seems thorough, without being over the top. He’s also good at putting people at ease, and didn’t even mind my baby being there. The rooms are incredibly small, but if you’re stuck in a dentist’s chair, does it really matter? (Perhaps if you are claustrophobic as well as afraid of dentists!) Otherwise, totally recommended.

Totally disagree with the above. I found the wait in reception long, crowded and claustrophobic, and the receptionists not exactly friendly or helpful. The doctor I saw told me I shouldn’t have come to see him when I was ill, failed to listen to what I was telling him, and was incredibly patronising. He also failed to deal with the issue I was asking about. Aside from one nice nurse, I hated everything about this practice and left, moving to a much better one elsewhere in town. The NHS pay doctors based on numbers of patients, make sure your money is well spent.

This is a great little newsagents. Like many convenience stores, they seem to sell just about anything you can urgently need at 6am - and they are open at that time too. OK, it’s not somewhere you are going to specifically go out to, but if you are in the area and need something at a strange time of day they can probably help. The service is not exactly 'with a smile’ and they don’t run endless BOGOF type promotions, but they do have a good range of stuff and have been handy many a time when I needed to grab something on the way into work and nowhere else was open.
