O2 - Bury St. Edmunds

6 Buttermarket, Bury St. Edmunds, Suffolk IP33 1DB

25-01-2009

I personally have my mobile phone contract with O2 and have been very happy with the service they provide. The store is right in the middle of the town centre and hense easily accessible. It has a contemporary clean layout which offers a wide range of products, from the iPhone to broadband. The staff are very friendly and always willing to do a deal with you should you be purchasing a range of products.

Jessops - Bury St. Edmunds

Bury St. Edmunds, Suffolk IP33 1BJ

This is a very small photography shop located along one of the back streets in the town centre. Although it is cramped the range of products is vast and hey are often reasonabley priced. The staff are extremely knowledgable and hense offer other personal services such as photo developing.

3 Store - Bury St. Edmunds

23 Cornhill, Bury St. Edmunds, Suffolk IP33 1DY

25-01-2009

This store is located within Superdrug and is therefore very small and hard to find. In fact without knowing it is inside Superdrug it would be impossible to find as there is no sign advertising it. The smallness of the store means that the products offered are very limited. Unfortunately there are plenty of other phone shops that also offer better deals.

Sounds Plus - Bury St. Edmunds

7-8 Risbygate Street, Bury St. Edmunds, Suffolk IP33 3AA

25-01-2009

This is one of several musical stores along the same street in Bury St Edmunds. As a keen musician I have used most of the stores on several occasions and have to say this is my favourite in terms of price and also content. They offer a wide range of instruments, instruction manuals and song books, that are well priced and informative. The staff are extremely knowledgable and also offer personal services such as guitar re-stringing, and brass instrument cleaning.

Denny Brothers - Bury St. Edmunds

Kempson Way, Bury St. Edmunds, Suffolk IP32 7AR

25-01-2009

This store is loctaed on the outskirts of the town centre so is easily accesible by car. Although a large store there is very little parking and the nearest car park is a good walk away. Saying that the range of products offered and the prices of them are second to none and the staff are very knowledgable. The store also offers a printing service should you wish to get large documents replicated. I have personally used this service and was extremely pleased with the outcome, if not a little displeased with the price, 17.50 for one sheet of A2 paper! Lucky they do accept credit/cebit cards.

Ryman The Stationer - Bury St. Edmunds

63 Cornhill, Bury St. Edmunds, Suffolk IP33 1BE

This shop offers fantastic deals and in comparison is often cheaper then WH Smith, Denny Bro’s and most of the other stationery shops is Bury St Edmunds. The store is large and stocks a variety of products, never will you fail to find what you are looking for. They also offer a printing service should you need any large documents replicating.

Cheltenham & Gloucester - Bury St. Edmunds

8 Guildhall Street, Bury St. Edmunds, Suffolk IP33 1PR

I do not currently bank with this chain, though my research into the company suggests that they offer the best student deals, giving any new customer 150 pounds, a free railcard, and mobile phone insurance when they sign up to a student account.

Barclays Bank - Bury St. Edmunds

52 Abbeygate Street, Bury St. Edmunds, Suffolk IP33 1LL

25-01-2009

Although I do not have an account with this company my brother does and has told me they are not the best to bank with. Not only do they hassle you every time you go into the branch, trying to get you to upgrade or purchase another of their products, they also phone you reguarly to do the same thing. This branch is on the same street as Lloyds, Britannia, and Alliance & Leicester so there is plenty of choice for a bank. I would therefore recommend using one of the others mentioned unless you really like to be kept up to date with others on your account.

Britannia Building Society - Bury St. Edmunds

58 Abbeygate Street, Bury St. Edmunds, Suffolk IP33 1LB

25-01-2009

This bank is located in the town centre along the same street as Lloyds TSB, and Alliance & Leicester, so there is plenty of choice for a bank. Saying that I have an account with this branch and have been very happy with the services provided. The staff are knowledgable on their products and are always happy to help even if you pop in without having arranged an appointment. Parking is fairly sparse though so a quick visit is rarely possible.

Glasswells - Bury St. Edmunds

Newmarket Road, Dettingen Way, Bury St. Edmunds, Suffolk IP33 3TU

25-01-2009

This is one of my favourite stores in Bury St Edmunds. Located away from the town centre it is easy to find and easily accessible. The car park is huge and just a short walk form the store. Once inside you can shop for anything from duvets and pillow cases, to dining room furiniture. They also have a wide range of lighting features, which are contemporary and popular among shoppers. Should you feel tired of shopping the store also has an onsite coffee shop, which also serves good quality food in adequate portions.
