Went once with family, a beautiful historic church.
There are plans to close the Park Lane church by the end of 2008. It is not yet known what will happen to the grade II listed building, but it could be sold off.
That would mean the end of 125 years’ of worship on the site for Liverpool’s Scandinavian and Nordic communities, unless they were able to buy the building.
I believe the Victorian Society is campaigning to rescue the building. With the Swedish Church leaving this site, this unique rendering of a Swedish 'stave’ church in brick is . . . . well, unique and irreplaceable.

This church stands on the corner of Chapel Street and the Strand, close to the city’s waterfront. Known as the sailors’ church, St Nicholas’s has been rebuilt several times since its foundation in medieval times. In the corner of the churchyard stood a coffee house in which shackles for the slave trade were auctioned during the eighteenth century.

stunning, a great tour, and the children were very impressed surprisingly. This Cathedral is an awesome, spectacular, beautiful building and yet also a vibrant living church attempting to live the Christian Gospel; a community of daily prayer and worship; a home to great art and music. The choir is fab

This 15 ton, four-bladed propeller is one of four which drove the Cunard liner Lusitania across the Atlantic on her tragic final voyage in May 1915.
It was the most complete of the three salvaged from the wreck off Southern Ireland in 1982 and was purchased by the Merseyside Maritime Museum in 1989. The propeller has been displayed on the Museum’s historic quaysides ever since.
Each year on 7 May, the anniversary of the sinking of the ship by the German submarine U-20, a service of commemoration is held at the propeller for the 1200 victims of this incident. A wreath laid during the service can be seen in the photograph of the propeller above.

I wasn’t my thing, but the family enjoyed it. Theres quite a bit to see, if you are a 'museum person’ (which Im not!) you would enjoy it. Not very big, but still lots to see and learn.

Ribble Steam Railway is a family day out in the heart of Lancashire. The railway opened to the public in September 2005. A visit to the site will not only give you the opportunity to travel along our 1½ mile dock and riverside line, but also access our newly built museum and workshop. The line itself crosses the Preston Marina entrance via a swing bridge, and runs alongside the diverted River Ribble on the site of the former sprawling docklands.
Very enjoyable,

Beautiful! Absolutely Stunning. Albert Dock showcases the best of the city in a World Heritage, waterfront setting.
Situated in the largest group of Grade I listed buildings in the UK, the Albert Dock houses many award winning visitor attractions including Tate Liverpool, the famous Beatles Story, Merseyside Maritime Museum and the new International Slavery Museum. You can join a number of fascinating Liverpool tours, including the creepy Shiverpool Ghost Tour or a city and water tour on the Yellow Duckmarine. There are also a great selection of Liverpool bars and restaurants
There is just so much to do and see, brilliant.
