THE ORIGINAL MAIDS OF HONOUR - Kew
288 Kew Road, London TW9 3DU
17-06-2008
This place is really famous as its been there so long, still run by the family and making Henry VIII Maids of Honour cakes.
They are also quite eco-minded and are taking part in the Greener Kew campaign to ban plastic bags and they also use free range chicken in the chicken pies.
Lloyds Of Kew - Kew
9 Mortlake Terrace, Kew, London TW9 3DT

Beautiful shop, charming and friendly bookseller and an amazing book tree growing up through the back room. You could spend hours browsing and soaking up the atmos, as I have done, or just pop in a grab a new novel for the holidays.
Olivers Wholefood Store - Kew
Royal Parade, Kew, Richmond, London TW9 3PT

Lovely - expensive yes but its full of fabulous treats and it is good that someone is promoting and making available all the organic goodies that are being made. Its so much fun shopping there and you can get all the eco-products for the house as well. Its a friendly place too with a very sociable crowd working there. A vibrant community place.
