Great pub made even better as it’s within walking distance although should you need to take the car they do have asmall car park. There is plenty of room inside with ample selection of beer and wine. On sunnier days there is a garden with plenty of benches. Food is really nice and quite reasonable and they cater well for children. Would recommend this pub for it’s value for money, great atmosphere and helpful staff.

We visit this lovely farm park every couple of months and there is always something new to enjoy. A great soft play area for those rainy days with lovely walks around the farm where you can see all sorts of animals.
I would recommend you arriving for opening time at 10am as the seating area gets full very quickly especially if the weather is bad but you can settle down to lovely tea and hot chocolate from the cafe whilst the kids let off steam.
Great day out for both young and old.
Carew Castle - Tenby

A fine example of a castle ruin, set in a beautiful location overlooking the tidal pond. Found this quite reasonably priced to visit and the kids loved going through all the little rooms which seemed endless. During peak times the castle offers re-enactments or hands on activities like weaving, games etc. We ran out time to visit the Tidal Mill but will have this on the top of our list when we visit again.
Folly Farm Adventure Park and Zoo - Kilgetty

We went here as a family during a holiday stay. As soon as we arrived we noticed on how organised it was by having 2 seperate queues for cash or credit card payers (cash queue was quicker) which was a great idea.
The park itself is large with plenty of activities for the children (and adults), my 2 loved the large adventure playground pirate ships amongst the other things that were available.
It was nice to see the animals roaming in large fields/paddocks and you must see the giraffes that they now have there as they were magnificent.
There is a large enclosed area which holds a large traditional fairground which you purchase tokens for, also there is a very big indoor play area with huge treehouss, slides etc.
I would take a picnic if you can as although there was food available, we found the queues to be very long and in one area they had sold out of food by 1.30pm.
All in all a great if not tiring place to be and would definately go back again,
PizzaExpress - Southwark
24 New Globe Walk, Southwark, London SE1 9DS

This was slightly different from the Pizza Express’s I had experienced before, the location is right on the Thames with a great view of St. Paul’s a very romantic location if you get a slow setting sun as well.
The restaurant itself was nice and clean and the staff were attentive and knew the menu well. You can actually see your food being prepared & cooked as the kitchen is quite open (expecially from upstairs). The food itself was very tasty and quite reasonably priced - would definately go again.
Travelodge London Southwark - Southwark

Stayed here as a family of 4 and although was a bit tricky to find when coming off the underground, the hotle itself was clean and tidy with very helpfuly staff. We didn’t have breakfast there as we found a couple of local cafes, but it seemed well stocked from what we could tell.
All in all it is an excellent location with only a 10-15 min walk to the Thames and then you are a short distance from the Tate, Globe Theatre etc. We walked to the Tower of London and it took us about 40 minutes along the Thames footpath which was a lovely walk.
Would recommend this purely for it’s location and it being a clean & comfy place to stay.
patriciaharris Terrible standards. Noise from trains no curtains so light pours in early am. Breakfast appalling.
My advise go to another Chain. (Do not store luggage)

We took our children her for the first ime during half term. Fantastic place which took us all day to get around. It is geared up for children and adults alike with excellent displays and activities for that hands on experience.
I would recommend you take a picnic and plenty of drinks as there is a lot of walking involved and it does get quite hot with the amount of people that visit.
Would go here time and time again and still learn something new - excellent place.
The Warehouse - Gloucester
1 Parliament Street, Gloucester, Gloucestershire GL1 1HY

I went for the first time with my eldest for a birthday party. It is a huge climbing place situated in one of the old warehouses and is like a tardis when you step inside. There is a small bar with plenty of seating and serves a good range of both food and drink, you then walk on upstairs to where the main climbing centre is.
The staff are friendly and professional and certainly focus on the safety aspect of the sport, there is a huge area for climbing and abseiling and also the boulder room where you can just free climb with deep cushions to land on should you slip.
The party itself was well run and the instructors kept the kids entertained in between taking turns in climbing. The food was normal kids party food but was tasty and soon demolished. I would certainly keep this place in mind not just for a kids party but for a new activity to take up myself - all in all a very enjoyable visit.

A must place to visit with or without kids. We go every year sometimes more as they run various events throughout the year (lambing season is the best). A great variety of animals plus other things to do like tractor rides, ride your own tractor, jump on the massive inflatable pillow which is surrounded by a huge sandpit, plenty of areas for a picnic, lovely cafe and all this surrounded by beautiful views of the Cotswolds - what more could you ask for.

A childs (small or big) delight. Love this shop and always go here for stocking fillers or unusual but fun gifts. They have a large stock with an assortment of products ranging from the wacky to serious gadget but you will find something for everyone. The also do a mail order service which I have used on the odd occassion and have never had a problem, the delivery comes on time and is very well packed ideal if you are trying to keep it from prying eyes. Well worth a vist even for the giggle factor.
