Went to Koya with a good friend last night - after reading a review of street food in the ES. The review mentioned Fish & Chips - which I thought just had to be done.
The place itself is quite small, but packed with tables. It was very busy when we arrived, so we were given the bench facing the kitchen - which was amazing. Seeing the effort and attention going into each dish was fantastic.
The Fish & Chips were actually Tempura Cod and Lotus Root "Crisps", both fantastically light and delicious. I had the Hot Ginger drink which was nicely warming and slightly sweet - like a Lemsip.
There were others next to us who tried the Udon in broth and you could see them enjoying the vast quantities of good stuff in the bowls. We just wanted something light, quick and very different - Koya won on all fronts.

Very cheap and EXCELLENT value hair cuts - I’ve never been disappointed and I find if you explain clearly what you want they get it perfect.

Great cinema, always comfortable and clean. Staff are attentive, nicely located close to West India Quay DLR station (or a short walk to Westferry).
They seem to be fairly quiet on mid-week nights, and this makes them perfect for the Orange 2-4-1 film deals on Wednesdays.
